I use GoPro’s to capture my video and audio. Question is I would like to be able to continue to keep my GoPro’s for you tube but use my iPhone for live streaming on other apps. You think that connection is possible?

I see what you are saying. In this aircraft, the other female adaptor that is not located on the cord, is special to the plane. It connects the push to talk button. Don't worry about that.

Is ForeFlight on your iPad or your phone? Whatever device is plugged into the jack, will be recorded. It’s primarily for videos. That’s my understanding

@@jcstudentpilot9075 use your phone. You’ll need a second chord for the iPad and you’ll probably have to plug it into the right seat jack if you want to have both.

@@grummangreaser4701 Yeah - for some reason, with all these cords plugged in, the phone is just recording from its microphone, and not from the cable connected to the headset - so all i'm hearing is the ambient noise. I heard you may have to plug in the lighting connector AFTER hitting record - do you do that?

Hey guys I got the adapter the splitter adapter goes from my DC headset, then connected via 3.5” cable to iPhone adapter and plugged into my phone. I recorded video using the iPhone camera app, but only have the sound from my iPhone mic (not the headset audio). Any thoughts?

@@grummangreaser4701 yep. I’ve got the y-splitter, the 3.5” adapter for that, the 3.5” cable and the 3.5” to lightning adapter. I can plug the 3.5” end into my headphones and listen to audio from my iPhone which means I’m at least getting sound through. And the y-splitter was plugged in and I was able to talk and hear on the radio like usual … so I’m pretty sure the whole setup should be working … the only thing I can think is maybe the lightning plug came out a bit or something while I mounted it. Wasn’t sure if you had to switch anything on the iPhone to go from internal to external mic.
