This video series is top notch, just like Neumann Microphones... I’m inexperienced and my TLM 103 and KMS 105 sound amazing no matter what I do with them. Sure there are ways to get better/worse sounds, but I think one really has to try hard to get Neumann microphones to sound anything less than stellar ❤️

Lisa can make all her music by herself. If she can play rock guitar solos as well, I'll be stoked.

Hi! excellent presentation. Question: I am a jazz/ standard singer which genre includes the likes of Sinatra, Mathis, Buble & Connick, which from these Neumanns TLM (103, 107 or 49) would you best recommend for me? & pls include the 2nd best amongst them. Thank you

Thats nice but I would like to say that a lot of singers that I work with, they "trigger" some harshness at 3khz-4khz and the way I fixed that is to tilt the microphone towards to the ground.Not too much but a little.Im working with a TLM 49.

What Neumann mic is best for home recording, since there is always cars passing outside, making that annoying swoosh/rumble?
@GeorgNeumannGmbH
@GeorgNeumannGmbH 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcos, this sounds more of an acoustic problem in the recording space. However, most of our studio microphones have a built in adjustable low-cut function, which helps eliminating these unpleasant frequencies. Check out the 'compare' function in our microphone finder to see which one suits best for your individual project: en-de.neumann.com/microphones

I'm curious about the fact that we are constantly told to treat the room acoustically and yet you're recording in a stone walled barn?

I learn from these videos but I think you need to be honest as to what else is going on - is the sound we are hearing directly what's being recorded without any processing at all? Surely not...thanks for the tip about the microphone stand, now I know why mines always on the floor 🙄

where are your decent monitors, because you haven't got any there with you. Is he talking to babies who have not been to school. No novice should be doing any of this, because they should have knowledge and be trained in any thing to do with sound and acoustics, recording and mixing.
