i love your sound. I love j j johnson and steve jordan. Which bass, snare, hit hat and cymbal combo would you get seperately without sacrifice the tone, but without breaking the bank either?

Nice. Yea I think you could probably get really close to a Steve Jordan style sound with any drum kit as long as it's tuned close to his style. Tight snare with rim shots, no muffling. He also uses bigger hi-hats so i'd maybe look for some 15'' or 16'' hi-hats. But yea, I think the extra 30% of his sound is just his personal touch and feel on the drums, which is magical, haha.

I think any intermediate to pro drum kit will sound good. Even a beginner kit would work well, I think it more so depends on the heads and how the drums are tuned and muffled.
