Hi, thank you for your videos I do have a question. When I press the option “My account was hacked” it send me in loops. When I put “I forgot my password” it sends the email to the hacker and when I try another way I see my email but never get the 6 code digit. I can’t find the option to submit a selfie video to verify this account is mine. Instagram isn’t replying to my emails either. I have lost my account since Monday. Hi! I can't seemed to get to the face recognition part. they locked me out of the code verification section ( you've entered the code incorrectly too many times?)not sure how that is possible, assuming this is some mechanism they have set up in the backend to prevent me to get to the facial recognition. I deleted my account and redownloading Instagram to hopefully clear cache per your suggestion but it keeps stopping at the area where I have to input the 6 verification code. i there 👋 so sorry to hear this! Hacked or not, the only way to get your account back, is to repeatedly try the face recognition process. But I too noticed that if you try TOO MANY times back to back, Instagram sort of “jams up”. Try doing this process 2-4 times in a 1 hour period. Wait an hour or so before you try again. Or maybe even the next day. Sometimes you might get it back successfully in 1 try, and sometimes maybe hundreds of tries or more 🙁 But sorry, at the moment, this is truly the only way. Anyone who is advertising people or companies that can help you recover your account are SCAMMERS just trying to earn a quick buck. Please don’t fall for them. Take care and good luck 🙏

hank you for letting me know your struggle I know how hard it is, it was the same thing for me when my account got hacked, they changed my email and password, they even did a 2-factor authentication which is truly frustrating. What you have to do and it's the only way I know is to go through the step by step process on IG, do the same process, do the face identification just be patient with the process and then you will get a code, I think it's a 5 or 6 digits code which will be sent to your provided email, you can give any email of your choice, from there, you will recover your account and IG will ask you to reset your password, even the 2-factor authentication settings of the hacker will be removed so you don't have to worry about the hacker having the authentication code. One more thing, so sorry that they are asking you for money, please refrain from giving money to the hacker, because honestly, it's relly not worth it. I'd rather create new account than giving them money because once you start giving them, they will only ask you for more and there's no end to it. One important thing to note, please DON’T trust any of these comments who are promoting other people or companies who can help you get back your account. These are all scams! The only company that can return your account back to you is Instagram. Take care and good luck! 🙂

Hello i’m hoping that you might reply please…My account was locked/hacked and i don’t know what to do about it. Because all instagram does is send automated messages unless they have a email?😭. But it’s really weird tho because when i click “forgot password” and put in my number or email it will send me a link to reset it or just “log in without password” but it never works nothing happens after i reset the password i don’t even think it gets resetted😭. I did the selfie verification and added a email that i know i can use and it confirmed my identity and sent me a code and all so i typed it in and then it asked me to put in another code sent to my number so i did that? and then it asked me to confirm my identity but with some random email that is not mines and it was the only option they had there, but when press forgot password and put my email it sends me links so im confused why is it asking me to confirm my identity with a email i never used on my account? 😭 pls help please i beg

Thank you for the video. I have been attempting the steps since July 5th. It won’t allow me to upload a selfie or video as soon as I select that option it asks for an old password. Once I try to submit an old password it kicks me out. They have changed my email as well so I am unable to receive a reset password to my email or cell.

Hi there 👋 so sorry to hear this! Hacked or not, the only way to get your account back, is to repeatedly try the face recognition process. But I too noticed that if you try TOO MANY times back to back, Instagram sort of “jams up”. Try doing this process 2-4 times in a 1 hour period. Wait an hour or so before you try again. Or maybe even the next day. You can also try to use other phones to log in or delete and install the app again. Sometimes you might get it back successfully in 1 try, and sometimes maybe hundreds of tries or more 🙁 But sorry, at the moment, this is truly the only way. Anyone who is advertising people or companies that can help you recover your account are SCAMMERS just trying to earn a quick buck. Please don’t fall for them. Take care and good luck!

I wish I saw this video before trying to recover my account, it’s so helpful! I’ve tried everything to recover my account, the hacker has now changed everything but my username and when I try to change the password I get redirected to the help page. I'm sorry to hear that you're having so much trouble recovering your Instagram account. Thank you for letting me know your struggle I know how hard it is, it was the same thing for me when my account got hacked, they changed my email and password, they even did a 2-factor authentication which is truly frustrating. What you have to do and it's the only way I know is to go through the step by step process on IG, do the same process, do the face identification just be patient with the process and then you will get a code, I think it's a 5 or 6 digits code which will be sent to your provided email, you can give any email of your choice, from there, you will recover your account and IG will ask you to reset your password, even the 2-factor authentication settings of the hacker will be removed so you don't have to worry about the hacker having the authentication code. One important thing to note, please DON’T trust any of these comments who are promoting other people or companies who can help you get back your account. These are all scams! The only company that can return your account back to you is Instagram. Take care and good luck! 🙂

Instagram is constantly changing, just a heads up that because the hacker has set up a two factor authentication, once I receive the 6 digit code IG asks me to provide another code from the authentication app or a back code (those are the only two options) before I can do the Face ID or ask friends to identify me. . Going through this process on the app doesn't give me another option and on the desktop it redirects me to the help page. It's possible I will have to give up if I don't hear from IG and it's already been a week but thanks for your help, much appreciated. :)
