I literally strive to be as gentle and as graceful as you are. It’s incredible to watch a person be so real and so honest. I am a stay at home mom to four littles, and this year I have kept all of your videos in mind when trying to be more gentle with my kids. These videos are so calming please never stop!

I think that such a great reminder for all of us moms right now, is to remember that if our kids feel safe and loved, they are fed and clothed, emotionally nourished by us, we are succeeding in the greatest of ways. You are doing this and so much more. I am struggling to keep things going, while writing a cookbook. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and I am such a passionate kitchen witch and feel deeply that I want everyone to feel not not confident, but excited to experiment in the kitchen. There are no failures, on feedback. Your content is loved and needed. Keep going!

Adding a new thing to your routine like the walk with Juniper is AMAZING. Maybe think of something similar you can do in the evening that’s new but doesn’t add stress- like maybe you and your husband take a bath together every night, or during your no-work hours, phones go in a bin in your office with the door shut. Something small that doesn’t completely disrupt your rhythm or add more stress. I hope you can find some moments of peace to help you recover more and more every day, burnout is so hard.

My son will turn 3 in March. I was irritable with my son until I transitioned my mindset to “these behaviors are not something that need to provoke my anxiety. These behaviors are temporary, simply a developmental stage” I choose to pick my battles everyday. For example we do 1, 8min movie for teeth brushing. The action of turning off the TV triggers a temper tantrum so instead we say “wanna go to the park” or “wanna go for a walk” and he will happily get up and walk out the door. We then turn off the TV. If he’s upset by what I’ve served for a meal I say “okay, it’s on the table when you are ready. Love you” He stopped getting upset by what I serve. This mindset has helped a lot with the stress of raising a toddler. When I’m completely done and I don’t feel like my responses to my toddler would be appropriate I communicate that with my partner and he comes in with a lot more patience because he knows I’m having a hard time. My partner and I have on and off times too. I take care of my toddler at night and through the morning until nap time 12-1 then when nap time is done around 1:30 or 2:30 my partner takes over completely or partially depending on how I’m feeling and I get a little break for a few hours. I will usually go do the things that I WANT to do for me such as a massage, visit friends or fun shopping runs. My partner also has times where he does the things he WANTS to do like basketball and the gym. I am capitalizing “wants” because I want to emphasize it’s supposed to be something you as an individual has fun or enjoys doing separate to the family. We do also both work full time. I work remotely and he works out in the world.

Burnout is hard and I think really unique to every person and their current life circumstances. Since having my second kid, a couple of years ago, our family dynamic and life has changed a lot. My husband started a business and I got a promotion at work and we are just in a busy season of life. I was feeling really stressed at the lack of time so we hired someone to help clean our house a couple of times a month and that has been life changing. My mother in law takes both kids Friday nights for a sleepover and that has been equally life changing. Yesterday we had a really great day out as a family which meant I didn't get a chance to grocery shop. Normally I would've been really stressed but instead I decided to drop in this morning and I was able to do a quick run in under 30 mins before work. Another example is I started prepping my sons and daughters things the night before so that I wasn't running around stressed in the mornings. None of this happened over night but a big piece was setting realistic priorities (non negotiables) and having things to look forward to. I also have a boy (6) and girl (2). I don't force their relationship. They were very much like yours in the first year. My son was not as interested in playing with her and that's slowly changed. Just give it time.

Making sure you eat enough food throughout the day and making sure you are replenishing your minerals/electrolytes even if you aren't sweating a ton. We burn through our fuel (food/nutrients) so much faster when we are actively stressed/overwhelmed. Hope this is helpful and I love your videos!

Burnouts are no fun ... I am on maternity leave and I have to go back to work at the office in 2 weeks and 4 days and I don't want to. I got only 3 months off. A nice warm bath helps me relax. You are doing an amazing job. 🥰🥰

Hi there! Megan again from New Jersey. I really enjoy your vlogs. Balancing it all is so so tough as a working mom. I'm a full time teacher, and I'm also finishing my doctorate. Over the summer, I hired a sitter to watch my son a couple of days a week so I had dedicated time to work on my dissertation. It was so great for my mental health to have that time. It's certainly a privilege to be able to do that, and not everyone can, but knowing that I'm going to have specific, consistent hours to work is really helpful. I remember you mentioned in a recent vlog that it's stressful not knowing how much time/when you'll be able to work, and I agree. So maybe finding dedicated chunks of time each week that you know are just for work would help. Again, I know that not everyone can/wants to hire help - it's such a personal choice, but just thought I'd share.

I was pretty burned out this summer with the kids home all day with the kids. Before kids I belonged to a sailboat racing team. For the first time in 7 years i was able to join my team once a week for an evening race. It was so refreshing to have adult time with my old friends. Most of them have kids in college or just out of college so I am the young one of the group.

For the burnout, I remember some times where doing more creative/out of your box videos really invigorated you in your work life! I know filming is a small part of your task list, but I know that your KZbin community would absolutely support if you wanted to do some more aesthetic or creative videos to get the juices flowing! I also sometimes find that making more emails into meetings (or vice versa, just switching up my communications) can help my work flow and energy in the work day!

Try learning something new! I always find that when I’m feeling burnout, I need to learn a new skill, or revisit learning an older skill. Otherwise I have the same old thoughts in my head day in and out and it gets boring. I love stimulating my mind with new problem solving!

Skin....give it at least 3 months, 6 weeks is still early days in the big scheme of things. The green dress is so lovely on u, all of the clothes are, your body is fantastic after having 2 kids, I can only wish. Love the photo frame fridge magnets, Great idea! I feel exactly the same with house clutter! Im a bit OCD I think (definitely something going on), I cant go to bed without the house being tidy and everything put back in its place, its exhausting sometimes! When I'm stressed I go and look in each room to see if its tidy, not normal...right! It just feels better when its tidy to me, like I can relax. Before kids I would clean on my days off all day, now I realise it wasn't even dirty compared to kid life lol How cool are the fake books! So handy for hiding things. My sons favourite movie was Cars for years as a toddler, Planes is by the same people. Hes now 15😳 Toddler mum life is so busy, it does get easier/different over the years. Always set time aside for 'me time'. I still struggle with my anger emotions when I'm stressed or hormonal, peri menopause is another hard stage for us women. I try to be thankful and appreciate being healthy as I know its not the same for everyone's journey and that would be so so hard.

Also, if you’re able, maybe have your in laws watch the kiddos and sign up for a local class for something creative like pottery or something like that where once a week, you get to leave the house alone for a small period of time to reset 🤍
