Glad you are back! When I was thinking about switching over to an e-road bike, my husband said “Cycling should make you happy, not miserable!” Arthritis in my lower back was making hill climbing and head winds painful. No pain with the ebike!

Great video, nice to see some common sense re traffic. Just bought my first e-bike a Gain D30. Having it checked on Monday just to make sure everything is set up correctly, then off we go!

Thanks Paul. Small injury, but surprising how much a broken little toe is an inconvenience and painful. Fully recovered now.

Hi ,Darryl fantastic blog fun to watch liked the fly catching, have done it several times. I all so ride on the foot path when possible. You gave all the reasons why an ebike is brilliant, the saying is, no pain no gain, but this is not true you still have to work hard when riding a low assist ebike. Nice to see you back riding again.

Love your videos and my ebike which has same spec and motor as your Obea ( Mahle eBikemotion X35 motor). However the X35 & UK max is 15.5mph, not 15mph as you have stated in a number of your KZbins. "Electric assistance can only be provided to a maximum of 25kph (15.5mph)" (check Cycling UK and Mahle specs).

I'm looking at an E-bike with the mahle system would like the X20 motor, but all the ones available seem to be high-end bike with all carbon frames and Di2 or Etap gears, the Orbea look a good choice if I go for X35 motor, was originally thinking about Ribble but some have got a long wait for delivery one i was looking at, wouldn't be delivered until 2024, Its to help my arthritis in my knees, had my 3rd and final cortisone injection in my right knee in January, and my left knee is starting to get painful on hills, but only about as bad as my right knee was 16 years ago.

Good to see you back. I liked your remarks about how and why you got out of the way of the traffic etc. I whole-heartedly agree with you. Common sense and common courtesy should prevail.
