How's she goin'? If you have access to a winch, and in your case you sure have some nice ones, getting out of the slippy mud is just a pull away!!! Nice that the trailer has it's own drive. That sure helped with this one eh!! Take care!!!

I figured we would have a good video getting the machine up out of there… I was surprised when I drove out!

Hi Jason!!😀😀 Glad to see you didn't have to pull it out and it was able to get out on its own. If you would have had to pull it out. The place you dad suggested to hook is definitely the best place to hook. You really never want to hook to the front axle at all. I'm sure the farmi winch would pull the Kubota and trailer out even if the tractor was down in to the draw bar. That is some really gooie dirt. It's great ground for growing the mixed hardwood that you are striving to save and grow into saw timber. My saying has always been save the best and cut the rest. 😀😀👍👍 Keep up the great work my friend!!TTYL!!😀😀👍👍💚💚 Logger Al

Hi Al! That piece of property was a farm 60 plus years ago… great soil but when it gets wet, a guy shouldn’t be in there! I can’t believe how much my trees have grown in the last 25 years. I walked 10 acres of hardwood tonight that I really should be working on…. Maybe I need more equipment! Take care, Jason.

Mud is some nasty stuff to deal with. Makes you wish for a complete set of tire chains for the tractor. For a front mount, GP Outdoors recently installed the JU Fabworks workmaster plate on his FEL bucket. Gives a convenient point for hooking chains or even a tow hitch.

I’ll have to check that out… thanks!

Shoulda, coulda, we all mess up sooner or later, I have had equipment stuck a few times, nothing to get wound up about.

Yeah, this worked out great. I was hoping it would dry up. That’s why I walked away for the night when she wouldn’t come up out! Thanks for watching our video.

I would not worry about the trailer drive, it's built for it👍 if I were you I would have skipped the front loader on the Kubota, it just makes the front end heavier and gets in the way in the forest, make a transport box for you're gear instead.

I see Kranman makes forwarders and put these cogged drives on the “trailer” wheels as well. Wondering how reliable this drive system is? They seem to like the system… I agree on the bucket. My front end loader is a quick attach so I can drop it if I get fed up with it!

@@OakMountainAcotts the system is used in Sweden from 1960 something, the "SMV Drivax" was the first if I'm not misstaken.

Anytime you need more traction. Cut some wood and fill the bucket. I have quite a hill to go up with my 1025r to bring wood to the splitting/stacking area. I have turf tires and with snow down and chains on the back. That bucket of wood makes all the difference. Now mud filled tires probably no amount of weight would help. Lol.

That is a great idea! There is great topsoil down in there. It was a farm in the 40’s and 50’s. I knew better than to head down over the hill when the tires loaded… but I just kept going!

Taking 1/2 the load off would have helped also, if needed. Then just go back in after it dried up a bit. You can buy ( or make) tow points for the front of your tractor, hooking to the front axle is just asking for trouble. Chains, front and back for your tractor would be good, very useful in snow and mud.

For sure… I’m going to stay out of the mud after torrential down pours and let things dry up. That unit will go just about anywhere, guess I got too confident!

Only thing worse than getting stuck is having to walk out of the bush to get cell service lol good job on getting it out Just watch hooking up to front as most stuff isn’t very strong if you can build a recovery cable to go under the front axle to rear of tractor drawbar the should be the strongest point to pull with axle housings aren’t that strong out near tires Center of tractor is strongest by the drawbar

Yes good idea. We actually found a good point on the frame to hook up to if need be. I couldn't believe that thing drove right out the next day!

Low shame on you. If it’s raining come on out of the woods let dry for a day then get back to work. No need to tear up equipment. Now you could have cut the wood and been ready to skid out in a day. After checking ground
