Really needed to hear this story today am struggling to keep my chronic bladder symptoms at bay again 😢 I know it's TMS but am falling down the rabbit hole over the Xmas holidays due to work/ family stress. Liz gives me hope & also a fellow Irish girl 🙏

You got this Joanne . Stay of Reddit and any supposed support groups . There is no hope in them and I found they fed my fear and symptoms . I actually developed new symptoms reading them . Your brain is powerful and links itself to symptoms . That's why reading success stories has the opposite effect . I'm still well 3 years later xx

I know her pain so well same thing happened to me when I was 35, No social media back then yahoo groups just came out and that’s what I had to rely on a bunch of depressing people no answers, and face-to-face support groups that were even worse. But the pain she’s describing is very intense, It’s becoming more common people shouldn’t be embarrassed to talk about it I wasn’t embarrassed even back then I just said what was going on and doctors would be in shock they would turn red it was ridiculous. In my case they videotaped my bladder under anesthesia with a cystoscopy and showed me the video of glomerulation’s in my bladder bleeding profusely. So if anyone told me this was in my head I would not have believed it at all. But now I know the body can actually cause the illness it’s real. So glad she got help thank God❤

Liz thank you for your bravery to come on and share your story here with us. I too have made SO much progress with my TMS journey by listening to others who have recovered. Hearing real people’s stories has shifted my pain way more than the 100s of “TMS How To” videos I’ve watched? A great line I just learned from you is- “False alarm, brain!”

I’m so happy to have found this tonight. I’ve been dealing with what I believed to be pudenal neuralgia for years, along with several other issues. I always have heat and ice packs ready for when I sit down. There are similarities as my Mum is terminally ill and since we got the diagnosis my sensations have definitely ramped up even more. I recently learned about TMS and I believe it applies to me. Thank you both for giving me hope.

Thanks Liz for doing the interview very inspiring, I related to a number of things you said. Especially the part about hurt feelings hurt us physically too. That’s me lately. I had a set back due to having to put up a boundary . Anyway your interview is giving me courage to keep at it. I’m learning to let these sensations manifest and not to resist them.

Thank you for your kind comments . It was very hard to open up publicly about this pain but I really want to give others hope . After doing this I had a relapse for a few days . I knew it would happen because my brain was focussed on my previous symptoms . I didn’t panic it passed . The main thing is that I KNOW it will pass and that is the key to healing long term x

Hi Liz thanks for sharing, I have the same symptoms you had also developed them after uti a year ago, learned about tms 5 months ago, had some progress, engaged in living more, not having flares, but pain lingers, it's there 24/7 not bounding me to bed but still not letting me forget about it. I'm 100 percent sure it tms. But feels like I'm missing something. Books podcasts succes stories, going out, meeting ppl doing stuff even getting back to work again in August after a full year and losing job to this. I'm trying hard but it's been a year and I'm starting to fear this could last forever. What could i be missing?

Hi! Please I need to know if it’s possible: these symptoms below are related to TMS and will I be healed and sit normal comfortably soon ?? Because I hope I will be healed soon because of pain and pressure around my low back, more deeper pain and pressure on Tailbone ,rectum and anus with imbalance of muscles and nerves pain in my buttocks and my thighs when sitting ; and I’m not able to sit comfortably this is 2 years even I’m struggling with constipation with my digestion too and all these stopped me to get job , and I become as low income mom ! 🙏🏻😢

Watch jim on KZbin he gives a lot of free content . I had sessions with him which really helped me but this is doable yourself . Don’t put pressure on yourself to heal quickly just work on calming your nervous system down . Watch ALL Jim’s videos and Dan Buglio . Also try the book unlearn your pain by Howard schubiner
