Beautifully spoken! Watching this again. I've felt so lonely with all that has happened in my life so far, so much change and so much disconnect and hearing your words brought calmness to my heart. Thank you!

Yes, emotions are letting us know what is going on in our bodies. I have learned in recovery to allow painful, difficult emotions to come up & fully feel & embrace them. I find that many times they are attached to deeper, stored emotions that really need to be fully felt & faced, instead of avoided. Been carrying them around for decades, & by facing & feeling them, I can let them go. That place those painful emotions were stored are now empty & allow me to fill them with something better; self love, compassion, empathy & understanding for myself. I feel much lighter by letting those heavy emotions come out into the light, cleansing light. I have been on a growing journey & I don't try to run from discomfort anymore. I try to figure out what it is telling me, how I need to grow. Pain is a catalyst for change, I have come to embrace it in a certain way. I am 62 with 11 years of sobriety. You are part of my journey. Thank you.

So relatable..discomfort..and how do we escape it..instead of sitting with and allowing it..present..I hope I get to meet you personally one day to thank you for your vulnerability, honesty and integrity.. the sharing of your story has lifted the shame/guilt of my own story.

Hello, I have come across your channel randomly . How serene, incorporating the beauty & ancient teachings of yoga meditation into recovery and the desire to stay healthy and sober . Many come to yoga through suffering and regular inquiry on this path opens the gate to delve deeper, to want more & more change, to transform ones life ❤. I love this analogy of the 2 arrows. I have heard it before. I shall listen to this vid again,as I ( fellow yogini / teacher) understand the challenges in trying to interpret the 8 limbs ,ancient teachings etc and how they can beautifully guide us in the right direction to live a more healthy, meaningful, peaceful & purposeful life both on and off the mat, it absolutely must begin with dollops of sel love♥️ Namaste day to you 🙏♥️

Comparative suffering, and the guilt that comes along with it...or the opposite, feeling guilty about not suffering...well, I'd say they suck, but that would be beside the point. I like what you're saying about feeling them, observing them, and ultimately moving through them. Thanks, Cole.
