Hey there's a trick you seem to not know about that they've used on the classic brass patches in the 80's. You need to route pitch modulation to one of the oscillators and you add just a little decay what that does is create a bumped/pitch offset that slightly makes it go out of key and then back. Gives you that distinct brass sound. I remember when i discovered it by luck many years ago. I immediately went and tried to recreate brasses that i knew from ear most likely used that same technique forexample. The now days funny 'retro' classic Aqua - Barbie Girl's intro pad sound, always loved it. Try to recreate that one and have some fun! Later on with KZbin expanding and you'll get all kinds of tutorial videos popup. A retro VHS tutorial surfaced and the Toto keyboardist shows the exact same trick used on the song 'Africa' for example. Cool times for kids that want to learn music production. I learn new things everyday still, but i'm slowing down so it's good to have your channel as inspiration, keep it up!

Love these tutorials bro can you do some on some Memphis type productions?

As always interesting and inspiring. I do wish you'd explain some of the choices you make, as well mention or show the values you use, for example for the cutoff. I have to pause the video everytime to follow along.

Thanks for the tips! Just in case you didn’t already know: You can turn off the light show/Vegas mode on your Arturia keyboard. I have the same model and it annoyed me. There’s a setting to disable it, and you can also assign lots of different colours to the pads.

The videos are always so informative so thank you so much for that. I already learned so much from them. One thing that keeps me from unleashing my creativity is that I am afraid that my music sounds like songs that already exist. Do other people experience this as well and how are you dealing with it? Another question I have lately is that arps or arpeggios are used a lot. What are the rules for using an arp in your music? More specifically are arps copyrighted or does the same thing apply as chord progressions which can’t be copyrighted?

hi sir need a perfect sub bass with slight distortion that is stereo as well as mono compatible :D
@MakePopMusic6 ай бұрын
Analog BD Sine for the middle sub, square wave with unison of 5 slightly detuned and filtered at 18db around 350hz for the wide size. Bonus points if you also HP the side at around 120hz
