Thanks Les. Always keep those runners and never need to cut thin strips of brass. Thanks for watching and your comments are always welcome 🫡

Superb job on this. Thank you for sharing the build and your detailing. I will steal the masking fluid tip for my wheels. It's a great base for the painting & weathering to come. Good luck on your build, can't wait to see some paint going on. Regards Steve.

Thanks Steve, and I really appreciate all the support I get to continue providing entertaining and informative videos here. Thank you very much 🫡 If you use the masking fluid make sure you leave to set overnight 👍

Looks amazing Mark.I have always thought of recreating a real life legend like Wittman or Carius,but I have never gotten around to doing so,and as I right now am not planning on picking up extra kits (maybe one or two for Christmas though :) , I guess this idea will have to wait,but if you have any idea of an armour kit that I should get,then please respond with one.Can’t wait to see it painted and weathered.Have fun with that ;)

Thanks Kacper. I can tell you which 1 to get. You should get Dragons 'Whittmann's Last Tiger' I have in the box and the Zimmerit is really really good on it. Also Cyberhobby have it as a free postage kit so you can order just the 1 kit and they will post it free. Through them the kit is only £45 and as this is a China Limited version it comes with full crew and all the extras you expect from them. Check out the link... www.cyber-hobby.com/collections/dragon-free-shipping-items/products/1-35-wittmanns-last-tiger-tiger-i-late-production-2-in-1 Don't wait till Xmas though 🤣

Very nice work on the zimmerit! What did you find easier to work with?, the Milliput or Tamiya epoxy putty? I'm in the paint/weathering stages of the Dragon Tiger I initial production '3 in 1' kit. I like it, and am learning to master the challenge of managing the mass of roadwheels. Purchased the Friulmodel track links for my kit, they work great and are so easy to assemble. How many links per side did you need to complete a set? I counted the links in the directions and came up with 75 per side. Don't know if that will be enough, doesn't look like it. Anyway, looking forward to the painting stage.

Thanks Jim. I am more at home using Milliput as I have always used it before when I want to recreate Zim. The Tamiya was an experiment for me as I had seen others use it and wanted to see for myself. It may just be that I know milliput better and know how use water and rolling tools with it. The Tiger does have an array of wheels that are hard to keep track of 🤣 you may need a few more than 75 tracks the kit tracks say 94 and i was 3 short each side which might have been down to me and the way I push the tracks together when gluing. I would be interested to see how yours turns out. 🫡

@afv-studio I will keep you posted. If mine indeed needs 94 per side, I don't know if I have enough to cover both sides because they are the "mirrored" type. I'm going to do a count of mine right now. I 'll let you know

The turret had zim molded and not your hull? Nice build mate 👌
@afv-studioКүн бұрын
Thank you 👍Yes unfortunately the kit only provides one turret with moulded Zim. I felt that trying to remove it would have been a difficult job to do well, so I stuck with the Zim that was already there. I think it would have been a better look if I did that myself, but in a way there are limits to what I am able achieve from a box of parts. Thanks for watching.
