The most significant benefit I've had from this 'tutorial' is your description of your process; most of all, the challenges; I've recently learned that sometimes, having to ditch parts of your model or even restart from scratch is necessary, and hearing you talk about it here just confirms to me that ditching stuff and changing direction slightly or starting over is ok and isn't a disaster. In fact, the way you've described it makes it seems like it's par for the course to some degree. I might have got a different impression from those time-lapse tutorials which run from start to finish with no hiccup; apparently. In my first 6-month stab at modeling, I ditched several projects where I ran into problems and assumed they were irretrievable, but now, my models are slowing coming along and I'll likely revisit those models I thought were lost causes. I wish I had heard your perspectives when I first started modeling, but, better late than never.
@DECODEDVFX4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I scrap far more work than I finish. And I hardly ever make through the whole process without redoing at least one major element. I figure that people will learn just as much from my mistakes as my sucesses, so it's important to keep those parts in my videos.
@TinyMaths4 жыл бұрын
@@DECODEDVFX Great, I'll have to dig into some more of your videos; the option to 'redo' is probably the single most significant aspect that has caused me to make the improvements that I thought were beyond my reach. Thanks again.
