Based on some quick googling, I think it's series 9 episode 6 "An Ermine Street Pub". EDIT: Ah, nevermind. It's actually series 7 episode 2 "The Mosaic at the Bottom of the Garden". I got confused because this clip mentioned the Ermine Street and series 9 episode 6 was also a dig at Ermine Street.

I know why you're here. Human history goes back 300,000 years, but we're only allowed to know about the last 3,000 years of it. Hmmm that's not suspicious at all. Ancient peasants constructed these heroic feats of architecture without any technology. Suuuuure thing. That's the full story according to my middle school history teacher, and you can confidently is bet a dollar on that being true lol no sarcasm really
