Please don’t let some of the comments about how your hair was when you were younger change your current reality: your hair looks great and you’re helping so many people transform their curls. I’ve read many, many comments over the years from people who really appreciate your honesty about the changes in your hair. It’s helped them feel less alone.

I've been using the be curly curl enhancer with the flaxseed aloe gel recently & it gets me 5 days with zero refreshing in the FL humidity! I used to use the be curly curl cream all the time but for some reason stopped using it & just rediscovered how much i like it!

When I was a teen I used to just dutch braid my hair overnight and let out the waves the next morning and would do that every night because my hair was so frizzy. I guess that was my old wavy hair routine without even realizing. I still do it every now and then when i want a consistent wave pattern without gel or mousse. But now I use leave in, cream, and oil for that

Thank you so much for sharing this video! It's encouraging to see the progression you have had over the years to better care for your curls. Although I've gone curly in years past, I've only really started a consistent curly hair journey 2 1/2 years ago. I have felt discouraged at times that I haven't achieved what I desire with my curls, but this video gives me hope that I will figure out what works, but it can take time. 😊

Hi Gena, I am having a heck of a time getting the back of my head curls to look as great as the sides. I put a cream and then a gel, use my fingers to comb through with my head upside down and I STILL get unformed curls. I’m 3b-c and I live in a dry climate with pretty thick hair.

I had been pulling my hair up and back for so long that I didn't even realize how much curl I have. After chemo, my hair came back so curly I didn't know how to style it. Just this year, I have found your channel and a couple others ( the seesters 😊). Now the damage is growing out, and I can really see the difference in the new growth. Moving forward using these methods, I know it's only going to look better and better. Thank you so much for your videos! Your product reviews have really helped me to narrow down which ones to try. There are so many products out there it was so overwhelming. Thank you! ❤

Would it be terrible for me to say I like your hair before better! :) I've been experimenting with using hairspray at night for good second day hair. I've been using just the AG Curl Definer only and I love day 1 results. But it doesn't last, so I'm trying to add hairspray at night to help with curl retention, haven't nailed down this routine yet.

I am trying to wear my hair curly again. I color my hair to cover gray AND get highlights maybe 2-3 times a year. I am having some health problems so I thought maybe wearing my hair curly might be easier than my short " Karen" style. Right now I just do ponytails or banana clips because I am still trying to let my hair grow out and I haven't had much luck with finding the right products to manage frizz. TL:DR. It's tough right now

I have a question 🙋‍♀️. I have fine hair, it’s low density like yours, I have waves and curls. It’s like a little layered and it’s almost the same length as yours. Like shoulder length and in the back it’s longer. I wanted to know what your thoughts are on hair extensions and hair extension halo hair extensions. Have you ever worn them, do you like them? What do you think? I’m just asking because I have been wearing the halo ones and they drive me crazy sometimes. There non damaging but still. I know and like what you said in one of your videos awhile ago that you made I came across yesterday. You said don’t compare your hair to others, short curly wavy or whatever hair is beautiful to. Some people have thicker hair and that’s ok, but don’t compare our low density hair to others who have thicker hair. I do that a lot. I had more hair years ago but now I’m 48 and going through peri menopause and lost some hair. I think some of my hair loss is from the clip in extensions I used to wear all the time as well. Just wanted your advice, thoughts and opinions on these! ❤Thanks☺️

I started watching you about 5 years ago, my first was about using Olaplex 3. Did you delete some videos from high school? You had a cute video in your bedroom washing your hair with a really strong shampoo! It was so cute! Wow, 9 years ago….Your hair was thicker😢, I hope you get that thickness back. ❤ PS Confixor is a really old product, I think I used it in the 1990s!!

Hi Gena, so, I just started to follow you a year ago, I'm 52 now, and my old routine consistent of wetting my hair every day and washing it every other day, or every 2 days. I'll just use a living-in condition, and let it air dry. I used to color my hair to cover my grays. Since I started to follow you, is been a game changer, I stop to color my hair and now my hair is full of grays, except my ends, I started to trim every 6 months to get the rest of the damaged and colored hair. I still have some. And that's come to my question, when I do the routine styling, on top of my head where all my grays are, they don't hold the curls as much as where my ends are. Make it very frustrating, I wanted to know if you have any advice, since seems like my grays have different textures than my ends. Thank you

I stop dyeing my hair and let my silver pop . Same time transition straight treated hair to curly , is been 2 yrs now. I've learned I have different patterns of curls and how to treat them. Have fine curly gray hair it was a challenge to find a product and method. Have the denman brush but the tangle teaser is my go too. Everyday I receive compliments. Happy with all the tricks I've learned ❤

I usually have to brush style mine or finger coil them. More precise styling in gray areas helps them be more uniform. Also make sure you have gel on your finger tips when styling them more precise to really get it in there.

That’s so funny because on Saturday I literally used the exact same products on my hair for the first time (be curly enhancer and confixor gel). The only thing I did different was to use a little curlsmith shine gel on top because I had the feeling that confixor wouldn’t have enough hold. I got great results and am on day 4 with minimal refresh.
