This TARDIS is in my top three TARDIS interiors. The beautiful and clinical design of it. The simplicity and yet at the same time complexity of the console. Before it got overfilled with all of the buttons but you still feel that even though there are less buttons. You still wouldn't have a clue of what you were doing and that is the beauty of that TARDIS Interior. It is such a simple design but yet you can feel the complexity.

Personally I don’t really like it, it feels too empty. Which is probably due to their budget restrictions when first making it. It doesn’t feel empty because it was supposed to be empty, it feels empty because they couldn’t afford to add more. It feels like there was supposed to be more.

In the past, I have had people point out that fans might forget about the Classic era as New Who keeps growing, but with episodes like this, Moffat has made sure that people are reminded of the full legacy of the show and the character. And I love how they've brought back the original interior not just in this episode, but in ones like Hell Bent and The Timeless Children (granted, not the greatest stories) or basicly whenever the Doctor steals a spare TARDIS from Gallifrey. I can't help but smile whenever I see that original interior.

I can’t even remember most of new who, nevermind classic who. I’ve watched ever episode of Doctor who, the Matt Smith ones I watched multiple times, but most I’ve completely forgotten. I had forgotten about this episode until I saw a clip of it the other day and then I searched up the Wikipedia article and I was surprised to learn this was Capaldi’s last episode. I has watched this episode but I had forgotten the vast majority of what happened in it and I couldn’t even remember Capaldi regenerated in it. To be honest, I can’t even remember what episode Jodie regenerated in and I just watched that last year. I was surprised yesterday when I read about Donna and re learnt what happened with her at the end of her run. I watched all the episodes with her many years ago but I had literally no idea what happened in any of them. I can’t even remember one episode she was one. I want to rewatch it all because I have completely forgotten what happens in most episodes so it would be like watching it for the first time again but I can’t find anywhere where I can watch all the episodes. I can only find the most recent episodes with Jodie. I would pirate them, but I don’t even know where to do that.

Except that he goofed about the Space Time Visualizer being recreated. The item they focused on when he said that was actually the TARDIS Astral Map. I saw no signs of the Visualizer, and it would be hard to miss as it was a very large, five foot wide, disc shaped device with a screen in the center. But otherwise he was spot on.

Can't dash in and out of them like you can the police box doors. Also, now that the doors are police box doors on the inside, you get the sense that the tardis likes the outer shape, and reflects it on the inside.

I read a fan theory that the appearance of the hexagonal things (from publicity shots) were going to tie into the Curator from The Day of the Doctor or maybe at least return to that set. I don't know if that would have been a good idea but I was definitely intrigued by it.

If I did it, i would havethe rectangle l light strips similar to the 'Hell Bent' TARDIS instead of the hexagonal circles but I wouldve added the wallpaper ontop of that to show that the Doctor basically covered up that wall just to have more roundals on the wall even if it was just a wallpaper.

I agree with Pearl, they should have kept this, its much nicer and more inviting than any of the NuWho ones (in my opinion that is, free free to disagree) though the Toyota (the current one) can look quite nice sometimes, especially the blue version.

9 and 10's was a decent design, but didn't resemble a workable living space at all. 11's first one was too whimsical and mismatched in design 11 and 12's is perfect.

Pearl Mackie's absolutely right that the original Tardis interior design is better than the current 'Hollywood High-Teck' version, the concept of which I think originates from the McGann American mini-movie, made if I recall correctly after Michael Grade ditched Dr Who at the BBC. The original had more of a functional yet unearthly feel.

From what I've heard, the original TARDIS was painted that colour because in black and white it showed up as more white than white did, so it was actually intended to be white in universe which is probably why they made the recreation white

I know some people wouldnt like it, but i'd like to see an episode that reveals a "default" Tardis. Like it had been rebooted and was just hanging in space in its full size and weight and everything. No customizations.. just what one off the "showroom floor" would look like. Its never been done but theres enough material from the fandom yo do it justice i think.

My favorite TARDIS was the Doctor who movie. It was so very like a home and gave us a more detailed picture of what the interior of a TARDIS would have to be. And NO Moffat to screw it up.

The reason the original interior ended up as only two walls and the console is because it had to be assembled each time it was used - there was no permanent stage for *Doctor Who* in the classic run and so it had to share studio space with all the other BBC shows.
