Gorgeous work. A tip I saw on another video - you can mark your book binding guide with permanent marker because it comes off easily with hand sanitizer (and we all have that, at the moment)

I really like that... fabulous! One question, I am always hesitant to use paper as a cover as I think it would get spoiled too quickly with frequent use, or carrying around in a handbag or something..and I would be especially cautious if I had painted something as lovely as yours.. do you not use any kind of protective spray on it or anything?

Kristina Werner (artist/card maker on KZbin) often does Mail Art using paint, distress oxides, inks etc and she uses Micro Glaze (which is by Tim Holtz I believe) to seal the envelope. You simply smear the glaze on then buff it off with a dry cloth and this protects the surface, even from water droplets.

I want to put a full arches watercolor pad in my 1 and a half inch spine travelers notebook. There are four bands to hold notebooks, do you think the folded over sheets method thats glued (kettle stitch) will work for this or would it destroy the bindings when added through the notebook bands? The paper is thick cotton so it wont bind cleanly as a regular notebook. I hope this wasnt confusing, can you help or did i miss a video for this?

A beautiful project!! The patterned paper turned out SO well!!! A question about the punched holes on the inside blue covers, how do you address the ragged edges? Here you left them visible, is there some decorative way to intergrate them more? TFS!!!!

How does the spine panel not fall out of the book with this style of binding? The binding looks like it has a lot of give, movement wise.

It does have some give, which makes it open so flat. The spine panel is held in by the tension of the thread, so make sure it's sewn tight enough while binding. Also wax on the thread may help to add some grip on the spine panel.

I feel like I'm the only one with this problem, but I've used a few different kinds of glues for my projects and it seems like they always dry before I can even finish applying the glue. So I end up working faster and get sloppy and end up with glue everywhere... Is there a trick to making glue not dry so quickly??

Maybe it’s where you live? Is it humid or dry, cold or raining? The weather in your area may have a lot to do with it. Where I live is usually very humid and I always have dramas with gel pens. Especially the white ones. If it’s a real problem for you, I’d try asking the question to your local paper crafting or scrapbooking/card making store, those crafters know all the tricks. And if they’re from your area, they’ll have your answer.

You have to keep in mind Jennifer has to cater for new traffic to the channel too. Not everyone will be a regular subscriber. She did say it did take awhile to make. So to keep the balance, she probably kept a little bit of detail in while including links to instructional videos for more in depth where required. Of course we would all like to see more of these but the girl has to earn a living and there’s only so many hours in the day. 😊
