If you think seedy brick weed is better than what there is now, ok. It definitely had a strong effect when I was young. But I wouldn't say it was stronger or better, and it definitely didn't taste as good as modern buds. I don't live in a legal state. I will be happy when I can walk down the street with an oz and not be nervous about cops and I can grow my own. Or buy it legally. Cannabis has helped me so much. I’m 72 yrs old and have arthritis and painful knees. I started using cannabis and I feel so much better after using it for just under six months. I eat it, use the creams and I vape at times. There’s no reason it should be illegal. Plants are not a threat,the drug companies don’t want you to know what’s really in your prescriptions. Here in California you can get 8th's for $15-$40 bucks for 25%-34% THC concentration. It just depends on the dispensary and what deals they have available. I never pay more than $30 bucks for an 8th, not even for top shelf and that's with the taxes included. Four grams for almost $80 bucks! That is a rip off.

The taxes that legal dispensaries have to pay and the upfront costs to even get started is too high for most people and even if you're able to get a store running, the taxes you pay that you will be very lucky to turn a profit. I went to a dispensary named planet 13 in Santa Ana in Orange County where I live and the place was really nice, but I bought an 8th that was $49 before taxes. $49 for an 8th is already ridiculously high, but after taxes it was $66.00. I could have bought the same quality weed for $35 elsewhere. They're basically selling weed to pay taxes.

Recreational is legal in Montana now. You can get OUNCES as low as $100 + $20 tax. Some places in Oregon sell $88 ounces + tax. 4% tax for medical, and 20% for recreational. You can get ounces as low as $92 in OR or $104 in MT, after taxes, with a medical card. Or legally have 2-4 plants in your house (2 without medical card, 4 with it) and only pay what it costs to produce it yourself.

Grow your own! It's legal in MA, and super easy. I have never grown anything in my life prior to weed, and I got 2 ounces from one plant on my first try. It's called weed for a reason: it grows like garden weeds; they're everywhere and grow in spite of you! Seriously weed plants can take some abuse, suboptimal climate, etc, and it will still grow so long as you tend to it properly.

In Florida it won’t be recreational legal because big pharmaceutical can’t monopolizes the sale of marijuana then. And Republicans get massive campaign donations from pharmaceutical companies. I live in Texas, I see news clips like this one and I just get more depressed. We still arrest over 60,000 folks a year and the penalties are still pretty much the same since 1970. Hell, eatables and concentrates are still a felony here, even one drop, off to prison you go. Texas is surrounded by legal states and even countries but I guess they got too many private prisons still waiting to be filled. Other states are making millions in revenue and taxes and Texas still spends millions and millions of dollars arresting and putting Texas citizens in jail and ruining their lives for what?
