Would love to see your beach bag process! I love thread basting because I love that pieces will never pop off while I'm in the process of permanently stitching them down and if they manage to shift at all they can only shift about 1mm before the thread catches them.

We had some spools in the Etsy shop, I think we ran out but I know we have more. I'll tell Brian to relist them. And you can find the beach bag here: Beach bag Link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/onrRqGh9gsabrNE

Loving this bright, happy scroll and your beading needle is perfect for basting. Great tip! Do you ever use a dab of glue stick first, if spending a little more time arranging pieces?
@JeriBellini7 ай бұрын
I did try some glue stick and it was harder to stitch through. Someone suggested FabriTac, I'm going to try that, might not be as gooey. And thank you! 🩵
@elizabethlampi76674 ай бұрын
Beech bag sounds delightful. As far as fabric goes I may rip or cut and either way if I’d like I may even fry it more by pulling threads out. Oh I may even choose to fold an edge under. I’m at the beginning of your video and you may have covered this more just stopped watching long enough to answer you first two questions 🫶🏼

Invisible basting / tacking. I don’t make videos, I’ve used this technique for years. I was taught it at school in the 60s. I imagine it has been ‘invented’ many times across the world. It’s hardly rocket science. Thank you for your video.
@JeriBellini7 ай бұрын
No kidding! I've heard from a few people that it's not new... now I feel like an idiot! 😅 Thank you so much for watching Lucy! (my grand babies name too) 🩵

One thing I do, once everything looks the way I want it to, is put a tiny drop of Fabri-Tac under each piece. THEN I baste it
@JeriBellini7 ай бұрын
That's a great idea, thanks for sharing! I was afraid to use glue because stitching would be a problem after the fact. But I'll give FabriTac a try. 🩵
