this polymer can be heated with a torch, then it becomes soft and easy to mold, or can be divided into parts using two pliers.

I need quite the opposite: have Methyl methacrylate (CAS Number: 80-62-6) and Azobisisobutyronitrile (CAS Number:78-67-1) both from sigmaaldrich. Need to make a PMMA out of it bubble free and so that the final sample could be easily parted from the glass mold. If someone could advise me on how to do it, would be really great. Thanks.

Some we might halogenate but some will definetely be turned into methacrylic acid

Regular color printer + clear tape go a long way

Nice video ! I just have a question , I m running some tests to laser cut acrylic sheets (20w diode laser), I have a exhaust system not working that well and I end up with this spicy and little acid smell in my shop, I make research before cutting every new material to avoid any hasard, and acrylic is said to only create CO2 and carbon Monoxyde. Got also a particle detector and a face mask ABE 1 p3) Burn acrylic also creates formaldehyde and VOC. I think this smell is methyl meth acrylate , is it known as dangerous for health ?? methyl methacrylate isn´t really good for your health so avoid inhaling it or wear a suitable respirator.

For things like this I use a respirator with an ABEK2 P3 filter.

@THYZOID LABORATORIES One piece of advice: take a break from thinking about chemistry for a day and think about your video production and scripting while watching videos made by the guy that I'm pretty sure makes more money at this than anybody else: NileRed. It's not like his work is even perfect. But the formula he uses for making videos is excellent and he applies it very consistently. It is undoubtedly a huge component of his success.
