Yeah, that's how splicing works. It doesn't denote a players skill, but rather their patience. Jezs clearly had the skill to pull it off, just not the patience to do it all in one go.

Also, for any new runners out there, I highly recommend playing the fifth game in the series, Red Ball 5. It's a little underrated because it's not an official game in the series, but it's a very neat game nonetheless. Please play it, I am begging you.

Having Jezs not only describe his own villain story, but also be a co-narrator for the parts involving your own records, was an inspired choice. It's nice to see that some speedrunning communities have redemption stories. Cheating almost always results in excommunication forever.
