Thank you for sharing the names as you go, that's really helpful for adding to my wish list! Your Mikawa Yatsubusas are amazing!

Thanks All my trees come from Buchholz Nursery, Iseli Nursery and Don Schmidt Nursery. they are the ones who spent the years shaping the trees.

Superb collection, I'm definitely adding a couple of "Englishtowns" this year.
@amazingmaples6 жыл бұрын
English Town is my favorite of the red dwarfs since it is the brightest red of them all. It also has the least amount of dieback and not on my "buyers beware" list like a few of the dwarf red trees

Thanks to your videos i'm slowly going bankrupt. I keep thinking I have all the acers i need, but then I watch another video and decide I've room for one more. I just acquired a Sango ally and felt accomplished. Now im pretty sure if I ever find a Japanese princess I'll be buying it!

The transatlantic flight and associated packing costs really would sink me! Just out of interest how much do you charge for t he likes of the specimens in your videos?
@amazingmaples6 жыл бұрын
I have a wide range of prices from a few hundred to several thousand with a couple over ten G. I try and be fair with price even though many of these trees are very scarce to find in these sizes.

6:46 So, what's wrong with buying the Bihou? I live in LA and want 1.
@amazingmaples4 жыл бұрын
Bihou might do well there, it doesn't live well here. It tends to die

That Hupps Dwarf would make a great bonsai. Do you still have or have you sold it?

check my last video, i believe the tree is still in that video

@@amazingmaples I am now binge watching all your videos and trying not to hit ebay too much. We have a seller here in UK who sells some great varieties of little conifers and A.ps at low prices (albeit they are twigs on sticks) but it does allow me to acquire the genetic variety I want at relatively low cost...all I need now is patience. Also I have to explain this further purchase of plants to my wife 😅 I have just ordered A.p. Ginshi, Pinus sylvestris Trollguld and Picea sitchensis Papoose 😬
@amazingmaples3 жыл бұрын
@@davidantill6949 Low price usually means low quality that tends to then be a waste of money. Quality grafters & growers want fair money for their work.
@davidantill69493 жыл бұрын
@@amazingmaples I appreciate that the more you can spend, the better the plant but I have purchased many from this seller which I have now grown on nicely and which allows me to get a greater genetic variety than if I only bought one or two of the highest quality and/or larger plants. Besides I don't have the financial firepower you obviously can bring to bear yet I still enjoy growing the plants. If I decide I want to bonsai them later on I will just airlayer them and then there will be no ugly graft. The Hupps dwarf looks a bit like Japanese Princess on Google images. It also looks a bit like an A.p. Tattoo I have which itself looks a bit like a dwarf Mikawa Yatsubusa
