I'm a bit confused. The video says that the gap between Perez and Verstappen was due to Max's superior ability to cope with the problems earlier in the season. Okay. Now that the car is even more messed up than before, having more problems than before, the asymmetrical braking is gone and that gap, instead of widening (as Max's superior ability would make an even larger difference), has shrunk to almost nothing.

I am speaking under correction now, but if I am not mistaking, this Red Bull car was designed as a zero pod car, emulating the Mercedes of 2022, and if so, doesn't it seem like Red Bull are now experiencing exactly the same problems that Lewis Hamilton was so verbally complaining about. MV has been complaining about no balance and a lack of downforce at the front. SP about steering the car, while the car simply couldn't ride the curbs, which translates to the stiffness of the chassis, as LH also mentioned during 2022. The Red Bull racing drivers are reverberating the echoes of LH and Mercedes now, so could it be due to the original zero pod design?

if a wind tunnel model is 50% size the airflow speed needs to be x2 times higher to achieve similarity, assuming the same viscosity of the fluid/air. if the model is 25% it has to be 4x greater, which may cause a lot of issues or not be possible at all: air becoming compressable at such speeds allowing for wave effects, or air flow may not be laminar enough (turbulent)

However, the earliest issue with the RB and balance was later last year. This year, the redesign didn't help the car any. From the first race, Max won and complained and has mutilate times after that. Other teams upgrades worked better.Maclaren has been the only of the top teams to bring an upgrade, and it always works well. No shock they've closed the gap.

Of course there is a front-rear mismatch resulting in lackluster cornering, you had an A-symmetrical braking system that basically hid all the issues, and, eroded the drivers skills by doing the hard stuff for him. Take away the A-symmetrical braking and, boom, suddenly all those problems you never knew you had come crashing down all around you, and a driver that has gotten out of touch with driving an imperfect car. I'm guessing Max is learning the hard way what DR has had to put up with for so long. There's no such thing as a short cut, you'll pay for it somewhere along the line.

When the R18 and RB19 was considerably faster with the rear wing closed than others with DRS, it allows for a huge buffer and cushion. Not listening to Adrian about the RB20 has led to this situation. From the very first race win of the year, Max said the car balance wasn't good. They ignored him and continued on their path. No we are here. The FIA point blank said Noone was using any device like that at all.

If they did it would open a can of worms as they wouldn't know how long it had been on their cars and being illegal, it would mean everything they won would be invalid and F1 would be a laughing stock. Is this really such a mystery or do these videos try to obscure the truth. The reason for Red Bull winning was not just pace it was tyre performance. The braking system was a clear violation of the intent of the rules and they were found out. They removed the braking system and everyone knew that was the end of this car. It's a "boat" without left and right differential braking forces on the same axle. Everyone knows every major upgrade they had in the pipeline and their 2026 developments to date were planned to consider this system an integral part of the design. Red Bull is starting over with no advantages. They could be anywhere on the grid, no longer guaranteed a top two, three or even fourth fastest car in 2025/26 onwards. Newey announced his departure the same week they were ordered to take the system out, coincidence? They dropped off from Miami, the very first race without that system, coincidence? No one in the sport wants to acknowledge how much they depended on cheating to win Verstappen's last 3 championships because he deserves them. He's a great driver, that is undisputable, but there's an asterisk on 2021-23 now, and Newey plus a bunch of other employees are running from that asterisk and the future of potential mediocrity. They should keep Ricciardo close, no championship-contending driver will consider Red Bull next year their number 1 seat preference.
