Yes, Lance has reached his pinnacle capabilities in his racing career, and Lawrence should possibly provide him with a dignified outlet to allow for younger and capable talent to escalate the team position. Maybe setting him up in a junior academy team in F2 or F3; although not as a driver but a team principal. He has plenty of experience to accomplish this goal and brings future potential to a senior team.

Yes Alonso is already a world champion, But Lando in that rocket is getting more faith race after race, in 2025 he will possibly be world champion. Newey can make a difference in 2026, but you dont think Mclaren will be strong in 2026 as well. Plus dont count out Mercedes. Remember the regulations in the 2010s, mercedes dominated.

Lance is not a bad driver, but he’s not elite level and certainly not F1 World champion material. It’s clear that Lance has come as far as he can, given the amount of time that he’s had in an F1 race seat, and Aston Martin now need an upgrade in their driver lineup in order to make progress towards becoming a real championship contender. The solution for this could be a sideways move for Lance. Lawrence Stroll has now reactivated Aston Martin’s interest in hypercars, and Aston intends to also compete at Le Mans, with a version of the Valkyrie hypercar. I think that Lance, as part of a team of drivers, would be able to compete at the top level in endurance racing, and maybe making Lance the leader of Aston’s Le Mans effort would keep him happy, in having a more realistic chance of competing for a World Championship, whilst also allowing F1 Team to get a better driver lineup.

sometimes i dont understand this ultrahype on this subject. newey is clearly a genius, but may i remind you that all his previous titles builings teams start very well and ended up badly (williams 1995, mclaren 2005, now redbull 2024). and all this with good f1 knowledge people (even they were bad characters). do you imagine that lawrence stroll will sit quitely in his chair and listen to every crying of newey? ...

Lance will become their T & R driver. Lawrence will drop jnr. from a race seat if he thinks that it will help his overall goal...but because Lance is his son, he will try to limit the embarassment to Lance. I don't think Newey will want Verstappen there. The drama between Verstappen and Horner is one of the main reasons he left Red Bull. In my opinion, Yuki will replace Alonso after he retires. Honda will insist on Yuki. And for good reason.
