Highway 12 is one of the most scenic drives in America. Boulder mountain views towards the Henry mountains is awesome. In Torrey go to the Anasazi Inn Restaurant. Great homemade dishes. If you are heading north on highway 24 beautiful campsites at Fish Lake. High altitude with cool fresh air. Love your show...

Love Hwy 89 & 12! My husband & I rode our motorcycle through Bryce Canyon 2 yrs ago. We stayed at that Best Western Hotel. It was a little pricey, but so neat. The restuarant was awesome. We met so many foreigners, people from the Netherlands, Sweden, etc. It was a unique stay, well worth it. We were blessed to get a room for one night, but not the next night. There were hotel rooms across the street - massive place! Thanks for sharing and bringing back some awesome memories! Enjoy your trip. Hope you will be going through Moab.

Wow, I was disappointed not to see Bryce National Park. I was there years ago and my friend Harry, who was there before, did like you and started at the end and came back. We saw everything but it was getting dark by the time we got to the large view of the canyon. It was nice but hard to see. I wish we would have stopped there first. Oh well, maybe one day I'll get back there with my wife, who has never been out west, and see it again as well as hike down in. I'm hoping I'll get to see it in your other video. I'm kind of going backwards watching your videos. That's OK as long as I get to see the sites. I had forgotten about Red Canyon until you went there. Then I remembered how my friends Harry, Bernie and I were hiking up that steep slope there. On the way down, Bernie slipped and fell onto his rear. We all had a good laugh, even Bernie!

Hey Russ ... back in 2016, I did a month trip from Toronto. First part was to cross the Rockies at Denver to get to Moab. Saw Arches and Canyonlands, then went along highway 12 (which is indeed a scenic byway). Went to Bryce Canyon and did a 1.5 hour hike, boondocked just outside the Bryce entrance on National Forest. Then headed to Zion and the north rim of Grand Canyon (boondocked a mile away from the entrance on National Forest. From there I had to start heading back home but went to Death Valley, Sequioa NP and Kings Canyon before going by Salt Lake and then I80 back to the border. America the Beautiful is not an understatement!

Good morning ! Different places allow them , but some don't , a battery operated bike can get 20 to 30 miles per charge . A bike trail like the one in Red Canyon would be a good way for to get around for someone who can't walk long distances .

Dinosaur National Monument by the border of Utah and Colorado but it does require reservations to go into the Dinosaur Quarry Exhibit Hall if anyone plans on going. The Hoodoos are incredible in Bryce Canyon. You can really see quite a few nation monuments and national parks along the way to Colorado. San Rafael Swell is also an awesome place to see.

Long term camping outside Escalante and volunteering in town. Red Canyon is bigger than people think on both sides of the highway. Great hiking trails, a few horse back riding, and a few bikes. Mostly overlooked as people rush to Bryce. And the Sevier river is close for epic trout fishing. Trails are dog friendly unlike Bryce.
@lvglen4 жыл бұрын
Russ, what mountain peak are you talking about at the end of the Bryce canyon road? You're already on top of a mountain along that road, the top edge of the plateau. The road is relatively flat through the park. The end of the road is Rainbow Point and it has a fantastic view towards the Grand Canyon.
