I travelled this road for the first time in 1992 ! Boy how it's grown around Mount Carmel. I did some hiking in Zion with a Snow crab dinner in the huge lodge in the centre of the park, then onto highway 12 to Bryce canyon where I camped at 8000 feet, very cold in my tent overnight. Wonderful memories, Utah is my very favourite State. Oldtimer Englishman from Shropshire wishing he was young again.

Just came back from Utah, Bryce and Big Water, Horseshoe Bend and visited literally every single same spots, what a coincidence, I even saw my car parked on the side of the road when I was hiking to the sand caves just before you stop at the Moqui cave.. Thanks for mentioning my car! I was so happy and for a minute I thought my family and I were gonna to be in your video at the Moqui cave which we I also visited.😜 subscribed.take care.

Here I am in NSW Australia and I'm doing a great tour of the American South West. Excellent work Russ. During the first part of the video while you were driving through all that red (Navajo ? ) and white sandstone you could see the different strata. The red sandstone is mainly horizontal and the white sandstone had diagonal strata. Clearly demonstrating how the sand was laid down in these sedimentary rocks. A geological wonderland. Zion National Monument is the same type of geology but on a much grander scale.

My favorite trip is just driving down backgrounds to small towns, sites, wildlife, just whatever you come across. It seems that you plan out your trip at a high level, but leave the freedom to explore the unexpected,. I enjoy you4 style of trip, especially with the drone shots included. Thanks Russ

I was at Moqui Cave in 1977. It was funny and great. The owner was a hoot and made it a memorable visit. It was nowhere near as developed as the walls were mostly just natural. At the back was a bar/ countertop the owner had made of beautiful slabs in clear poured lucite or epoxy and I had never seen any countertop as beautiful as this bar before. But before we got to it, the owner came over and said "Old Chief Moqui's gonna give you a haircut". I had long wavy hair at the time and laughed at what he said. Today, I wouldn't just laugh because I know a lot more history, but he certainly did not have any hate in what he said. Often the intention of what a person says is important to understand. I was 22 and moving from New York to California and it was one big adventure. The world is a very different place and I appreciate that man and his friendly manner. It wasn't till I got to Kingman that I was informed that the cause of the recent big blackout in New York City was, he whispered, UFO. What a world. In the end, only love and kindness matter.

🙋‍♀️The lush green shrubs had a nice shade of green in the Arial view. The Museum was worth stopping for never having seen it before. I thought it was neat what I could see of it. Was hard to make out the glow in dark window. Nice green landscape. I loved the Dome house. Neat! Stay safe. 👍

Hey! Again, Thank Your for sharing your travels. We’ve driven by this place several times and never stopped. I’m glad you did. I noticed several RVs along the way. People must be starting to travel again. We’re hoping to head north this fall for a few weeks. Love those backroads! Thank you for those drone shots. We really enjoy your music theme too. It creates a sense of excitement whenever it subtly starts up. 😄. How are you doing with the mask thing? It’s a shame to see people in public places refusing to wear masks.

Another lovely real life vid with local color and pertinent facts for wannabe tourists like me. I've watched almost every video you have put out for well over a year now. The preview really helped me when I went to Jamies van build, the RTR and even an Xscapers convergence. Quartzsite was like I had already been there. I gotta tell you tho, every time you launch the drone from the gravel I cringe when I see all that dust roiling around the lens. If dust gets in the gears or motor, you may need an upgrade sooner than you planned. I got a plastic disk that folds up like some of the sunshades for windshields for my drone. 20 bucks: Homga Drones Landing Pad Universal Waterproof D 75cm/30'' Portable Foldable Landing Pads for RC Drones Helicopter, PVB Drones, DJI Mavic Pro Phantom 2/3/4/ Pro, Antel Robotic, 3DR Solo (Landing pad)

We detoured to Zion 1 yr in Dec, after Thanksgiving. We didn't know that if we'd gone during high season we'd have to be on a shuttle. Hubby's a photographer so that never would've worked. Bryce & Grand Staircase Escalante are on our bucket list so next YT on Bryce will be a great preview for us👍.

Hi Russ, Another scenic video to watch and enjoy. With this ongoing pandemic, the only vacation I’ll be taking this year is riding “virtual” shotgun with you in your van. Curious . I went to Zion in 2020 and even though you couldn't drive on every road through it, seemed like the main one was actually open...luckily...I drove all thru that park...I was surprised but the road to angel's landing was closed, which was ok, wasn't gonna do that anyways.
