Played football against a lot of Korean teams in my life. Honestly, love playing against them. They're teamwork is great and they're very respectful and kind opponents. You can see that in this video where they apologize for almost every foul. I do think the second yellow for the one guy on Atletico was harsh though. Could've done with just a foul.

Atletico GK needed a caution for dissent. You don’t run 40 yards to waggle your finger in the referee’s face. All around pretty poor display from this team; this behavior is why there aren’t enough referees.

Ball was within playing distance, the goal of the shoulder contact was to play to ball. The ref may have thought that the player was tripped, but not much there. Also difficult with 2 defenders right there to be able to see contact from both players. Up to each refs discretion. 6:02: ref: No foul Me: No foul. Never really anything. Close to a trip but not really. 6:05: ref: foul, yellow card Me: foul, no yellow. I almost agree but the foul seemed more careless then reckless. 7:04: ref: foul, yellow card Me: foul, yellow card. Although it didn’t seem like much, the slide there was very reckless and dangerous. Even though the player didn’t fall, you judge the action not the result and sliding with two feet like this is always going to be bad. 7:50: ref: No foul, no pen Me: foul, penalty. The extension of the arm is a push and a foul. 10:16: ref: No foul no pen Me: No foul, no pen. Props to the ref for no buying this flop. Definitely no trip. 10:35: ref: foul Me: foul. carelessly challenging for the ball from behind. 11:17: ref: foul on white for illegal charge, yellow. Me: foul on black for impeding. Black stops in front of white so he can’t get to ball. Only reason black falls forward so much is because his weight is there from stopping so quickly. In my opinion it goes the other way and absolutely no yellow. 11:52: ref: yellow for illegal charge on black. Resulting in red Me: foul for jumping into black on white maybe, no yellow. Worst call this game by ref. Black play made no movement toward the white player. The white player jumped into him which could be seen as a foul. The ref may have seen the upper body of the white player go flying but that only because the black player was trying to protect himself. 13:43: ref: No foul, no advantage Me: advantage. It seemed to be a foul, nothing too bad but I think there should have been an advantage. 14:09: ref: foul on white Me: No foul. White got hit hard but challenge was fair. 15:33: ref: No call Me: foul for push. Ref had the worst angle possible but AR was right there and should have called it. AR’s need to call that to take away space the center ref needs to cover. Best call: 10:16: ref: No foul no pen Me: No foul, no pen. Props to the ref for no buying this flop. Definitely no trip. Actually really liked this referee's judgement. Gave out cards appropriately for the most part. Black team was your typical whiny Toronto squad. Korean team has some nice midfielders but need Heung Min Son up top.

The koreans must have been training volleys ever since that match :D I was rooting for them, very little complaining, and the black team complained at every single whistle and minor touch. From the footage they had 2 wrong calls against them, one being the red obviously, but consider that karma for being so whiny.

Some of these referees and AR's are truly terrible. I hope they're made to watch the highlights of their matches to see what calls they got right and wrong. That "offside" at 5:45 was just plain wrong😠.

I think some people here need to open their eyes, there was absolutely zero contact for the 2nd yellow card (sending off) the number 12 (white) ran and jumped into him. It is actually very very good recovery from a poor decision, he clearly pulls his foot away when he realises he is not winning the ball and pulls out of the challenge 100%. The number 12 sees the challenge coming and jumps into him, it is a clear free kick to the black shirt.

This ref lost his mind. Definitely got the red card wrong. There was no foul at all. If any it was white who committed the foul by jumping into the black player. I hope the ref gets to see this video for his learning experience. We can all make mistakes that’s fine as long as we learn from it.
