I think the phasing through the spring at 12 minutes was because it was slightly lowered by the slope. In a similar way that when standing on a donut block that's falling and using it to enter a pipe, if you enter at the first possible frame you will phase through the donut block as soon as it it even a bit below the halfway point in the pipe

Sort of. the way slopes are coded, to anything standing on them they count as being at the block height of the bottom of that tile, as if the slope block does not exist. Which is also why slopes have so many janky ass glitches.

The spring has to be the janky slope physics. You can't go back in the pipe from the slope but you can from on top of the spring on the slope.

I think at 10:46, the reason you went back into the red pipe is the same reason the spring can come out of the pipe with you standing there. The slope only registers a block or not a block, so the pipe coding recognized you were a block below the pipe. Therefore, by your standing on the spring, it tricked the pipe into thinking you were standing level with it.

You notice that creators like to only use link suits just to damage boost and that's it. Not all creators do it but alot do and I don't much know how to feel about it. Also it's funny to watch his reactions for a second time after I watched the stream where he played this.

the spring pipe thing isnt even a glitch - its just a quirk. springs are solid on top and can crush you, but my guess is that springs arent *really* solid. because the spring is on the lower part of the bottom tile of a pipe because of being on a slope. and thus, it allowed you to enter the pipe

I'm so disappointed about one part of this level, the rest was amazing, the fact that the doors in the red coin hub didn't take you to a twice twice room. the fact that it hid the checkpoint is such perfect setup for a "go back and feel dumb" troll at the end. i honestly thought throughout this whole video that's what was gonna happen.
