Red Dead Online - All 42 Legendary Animal Garment Sets

Once you purchase the Naturalist Role in Red Dead Online, you may begin hunting the Legendary Animals that are unique to this online experience. At the time of this video, there are 42 Legendary Animals in total. Some of them are found in Free Roam while others are found during Harriet's Legendary Animal Sightings Missions. You can sedate, sample, or skin these animals. You can also sell/donate their carcasses. Harriet takes samples while Gus and Cripps take pelts and carcasses for cash and materials, respectively.
If you give Legendary pelts/carcasses to Gus then he will make you special garment sets. Here are what these coats look like. If you know what kind of coat Gus will make you for a particular Legendary Animal then you will be in a better position to decide what to do with that animal when you encounter it. I hope this video helps you decide which pelts/carcasses to give to Gus.

Thanks for showing all of these so we know what we're in for. Kinda disappointing tbh. In story mode you can make all sorts of cool shit from legendary pelts, vs in online it looks like the only option is "goofy coat with animal head hood". Rockstar really mailed it in with this one

I was able to get the legendary moose knight set by pure luck. It just suddenly spawned while I was free roaming near the waterfall north of annesburg. I was only lvl 48 and I havent started the naturalist role either. Wonder if all legendary animals spawn randomly in free roam as well?

Yes they do but they each depend on your level but the levels required are unknown

The outfit is a mixture of limited stock items, regular items, and role-specific items. Some of the pieces are the Chambliss Corset, Morning Tail Coat, Concho Pants, and Cavalier Hat. If you can’t find them in the clothing catalogue then they’re not available. I’m not sure how often Rockstar puts these limited stock items in Red Dead Online. Especially these days when they seem more focused on GTA Online.

Had a legendary animal the other day. Someone ran up and shot it and I stepped back to let them because they got it first. They got on their horse with the carcass. Looked at me. 5 long seconds pass. Then they gunned me down. So I hunted them down for about 15 minutes, found them in an inn. As I was going up the stairs he came around the corner. I had my shotgun in a slot rdy to be drawn. 5 long seconds pass. I gunned him down.

The Chambliss Corset is a limited stock item (for a female character) that might not be available right now. The developers used to update the game with clothing items that were “available for a limited time” and then remove them after a week or so. The corset returned from time to time but I’m not sure what the situation is like right now or how often we will see items like this going forward. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You need the Naturalist role. And then you need to find each Legendary animal, skin it, and give its pelt to Gus. You won’t be able to see any of these outfits until Gus has the materials to make them. This is the most time-consuming activity that I have completed in Red Dead Online.

Well you hunt the legendary animals and get their *skin*. Their *skin* is then to be sold to gus (look on map to find him). Then you have it available for purchase in the section called *garments*
