@@SlyJohn No, because even if you shoot them regularily, you can neve rmake it to the Sheriff or prison coach because the posse respawnsimemdiately and shoots you and your horse from all angles. They will delay you till the time runs out.

Both, but old feels better because it's what you captured in the game. Such as the scenic backgrounds. Also, I REALLY love this lower player bounty requirement. Makes the game more fun. Although, sometimes when I accept invites, I don't get anything to pop up until the last 30sec of the bounty OR when I fast travel. Lastly, I enjoy this type of content. I would love to see more and maybe Not Today Griefers hopefully soon?

Similar to the distant deliveries, the player bounties are just another way in which R* encourages griefing and toxicity. Public Free Roam lobbies would really benefit from a credible law/bounty system in which there are actual consequences for griefing.

First time I gave up, and the hunter killed me, so don't do that. I'm using dynamite arrows from now on. The last was a hacker, who dumped grizzly's and wolves all over me, and I killed them all, but surrendered because he's a hacker and I realize I couldn't survive that. He gave me a big pile of legendary animals to sample when I got out of jail.

a Hacker just long range bombed me with dynamite arrows. he was a posy leader. he had 2 noobs and one of them was the bounty. I killed them all a few time, but they would not let me take the body, leader with his hack would rain arrows down on me from out of the range were I could see his dot on the map.

there's a glitch with the player bounties if you didn't know.. players can get off the radar DURING these missions, (ends after the mission i believe) i don't specifically know how, i wouldn't specify even if i knew, but i ran into this issue like 3 times yesterday, just be careful when doing these :D (also, love the battlefield friends reference)

Even though you don’t play often anymore, you still got the skills to pay the bills. Excellent! I got a myth busters for ya, even though i know it’s already confirmed but you could put it in a video. You can sedate certain animals, lasso and drag them onto a train and then stand in a certain spot until the prompt to skin appears. Skin it and then have a friend revive the skinned animal or revive it yourself. It will revive and run around skinned. If you get an alligator or bear, etc, it will revive headless and run around. It’s freaky as heck. It works best at Flatneck station or Valentine because there are ramps at the sheep and pig pens. But you can do it anywhere and sometimes need two players using two lassos at once on the animal. I saw this on AustinBMX channel but TMADtv actually found this himself.

I go after player bounties as much as possible, people get amazingly salty when you capture them dead or alive....i love it. Also it’s fun looking because you can actually hide from bounty hunters using a bit of stealth

Ahh, since most of the player bounty folks are usually griefers, a lot of times I just start the Player Bounty then go off hunting and collecting until time runs out. It makes them to try to figure what I am doing and wasting their time constantly checking the map to see if I am coming after them. I occasionally check the map to make sure they aren't coming after me.

I don’t know this is a bug but for some reason, player bounties easily escape or break out of the reinforced lasso in less than 3 seconds if they are stowed on the horse. Carrying them will take then a long time to break out.

The whole thing is useless if they are more then two. Because the animations take so LONG, til I loaded the corpse of the bounty on my horse, the other posse members respawned and shoot my horse. Bounties for players is useless, entirely, because of this quick respawns.

IMO player bounties is unfair for the ones being hunted. I don't see why you as a bounty target have one life and if you die you lose your bounty and spawn on the other side of the map, but if you kill the people hunting you they get to instantly spawn like 20 meters away and keep hunting you. So your only way to win is to run away which is not always an option.

I never wanted to take the bounty hunter role because I had hoped to make some friends with people who had it and help them in return for help with trade runs etc but 400 hours later it's obvious I will not find anyone to play with so I decided to get the bounty hunter myself. The only reason I did was to hunt player bounties and be a self proclaimed " lawman". Thanks for the video. Its just what I needed.

Pro tip for player bounties: You can hit them 2 or 3 times while they are hog tied to knock them out. You will get the full bouny for bringing them in alive.

One idea would be to let players set bounties on another player who kills them or their horse or whatever, instead of Pressing Charges. Would stop some griefers I imagine if suddenly every high level Bounty Hunter was on their tail.

So I've been playing this off and on since it came out and have some some neat tricks when a player bounty pops up, to include whereabouts they are before going after them. 1. The second a bonuty pops up make sure you get a good ID of the face, things that stand out(female player, ridiculous mustache, bandana, etc). If there is no player face then wait a little for the internet to load it, then view under INVITES. DO NOT accept it, just look at the player face. 2. Pull up the lobby player list and look for the face you IDed, this will allow you to view level and their ability cards. The hardest players will have max damage or max defense builds. Do not be deterred by high levels bc not everyone knows how to use ability cards. Likewise, if you do step 3 then they'll never see you coming. 3. Remember HOW the invite popped up. Where you moving or standing still? If you were riding in specific direction, then you just moved into the "range" of the player bounty. To confirm, move in the opposite direction you were originally riding, glance at the invites and the bounty invite should have disappeared UNLESS they are moving in your direction. If you were standing still you need to do some recon. First, pick a direction and move that way. Look at invites, if the bounty is gone, they are not in that direction. Return to your original position to see if the invite returns, if it does then continue in that same direction. Once you see a player blip on your map, check to see if its that player you IDed and your investigation is complete. 4. Once you are within lasso/tackle distance, accept the invite and take them down the second it loads in. Remember, players do not know their bounty is being published in the lobby, only that someone accepted the bounty. With this method you can accept a player bounty right next to them and itll be too late for them. I've tested this for months and the bounty invite "range" is about the double the size of saint denis. I went after someone that was afk on the far eastern train tracks and the bounty invite would disappear when you crossed the western wooden bridge out of Saint denis. Edit: I forgot to mention that once you ID their face to their name, look up the lobby posses to see if they are in there. A lot of people in this game like to roll around in b*tch posses so its good to know before you accept the bounty if you gotta fight their friends too.

@Jeffrey Herman Sorry bro, but I'm a solo player bc i work too much to have a steady group. That said, 90% of the time I am being griefed, its by 3 or 4 dudes acting all big bc they have friends. I can't remember the last time another solo player or lvl 300+ griefed me. I sometimes posse up to help lower levels rank up, but not to grief. Sorry but if the boot fits, then wear it.

The face matters so you can find out who they are BEFORE you initiate the player bounty. Ive accepted player bounties standing right next to them and lassoed them before they could even attack me.

Player bounties can be really fun, but when the people you try to hunt are toxic pieces of shit, giving up on the lasso, or just outright modding themselves out it just isn't fun. Also, accepting these missions take forever, and not seeing the person you might hunt on the map until they're on the outskirts of the map when you finally start the missions fucking suck.

All them were using explosive ammo, have to chose my explosive arrows, take out the 4 players one after other, and then I found the bounty, just smoke him with the arrows but I got short of time and I lost the bounty. Very skilled player. I do wish I would become this skilled at free aim and so on. But in order to be this skilled you'd probably have to play shooter pvp games & die a colossal amount of times. I don't know about pc but this game on console takes awhile to load. You'd have to put in a huge amount of time going through sessions over & over & over again to be prolific (not including loading times of course.) It makes me wonder. I don't know man but I'd have to play every single day for at least 6 hours straight to be this good. Either that or he just picks up a controller & he's God. I personally cannot play 6 or 5 or 3 hours daily. Hats off to you I guess.

Hey I have a question, can I set a bounty on someone who was mightly over my lvl and killed me, I killed him back but I think that isn't enough for such behavior. I'd laughed at him that he got killed through a nearly 100 lvl lower like me tho.

@@SlyJohn thanks for the answer. They should implement that to the game, if someone killed another innocent player, that someone could set a bounty, of course pay the bounty self. So I could give a bounty to someone who recently killed me. That would be easy to program, cause the is already the redmarker for someone who killed someone. Also that would be most easy target for the headhunters I bet, if the killer is some lone player like that. And it would be more realistic, getting lighter jobs throughout other settled bounties.

No the only way to force free aim in pvp on console is to fight in defensive mode. Slippery used to also have the same effect when in dead eye til they nerfed it
