I’ve just finished “playing” a RDR2 session, and the last thing I did (not Arthur!) was ride on back to camp, hitch Whinny Horston (my current horse) and drop off two turkeys for Pearce. On my way to the tent to get some shut-eye I noticed Karen sat alone by the fire and so I joined her for a little bit, just watching the fire crackle. Then after about a minute, amazingly, she started singing some wonderfully melancholic song which I just had to stay and watch and sit in silence listening to until she’d finished. I felt very sad and sorry for her in that moment, there wasn’t (and no need for) any forced dialogue or background or exposition at all during this - it was truly wonderful just listening to her singing about loss and love etc. Well done Rockstar, and damn, I shouldn’t have feelings in a cowboy game!

I think I gave my horse PTSS from all the animals I've skinned. It also seems to get extra freaked out whenever other horses die, like up to that point, it felt like sure she's watched me kill countless deer and humans, trampled rabbits, but she had never realised her own mortality.

You can tell your horse to follow, stay or flee when you are close to it and hold the interact button but not so close that you can brush and feed your horse

If you put your weapon away and target your horse without standing right next to it you can give it commands, including telling it to stay. The downside of having so many options is the fact that everything takes at least three buttons so you look like someone playing a video game on tv , just hammering away at the controller when you are just trying to switch ammo. Loving the game all the more for the crazy number of options it gives me.

Why the bears legs so tiny on the map? Well if you look more closely you'll see it's standing in tall grass, so the rest of his legs simply can't be seen. Unless you're standing right next to him, getting ready for a bear hug :D
