I actually inadvertently chose the right route first time I tried the mission. I had left it for quite a while due to the borders of that province displaying the wanted red when I first started to open up the map adjacent. I just studied the map and terrain features then decided that tactically the shortest route also had the most cover for a stealthy approach that would give possible recon options to at least break it up in smaller, safer steps. Ended up literally cresting the bank and plopping down nest to the others.

Arthur needs Charles to move on to Chapter 3, thats why the game stops moving forward. For those that don't know how to get to Javier, from horseshoe overlook cross the river and ride under the rain bridge and go along the beach until you can see the river island, cross there and take the ravine on the left up the hill.

i did exactly what the video said but when i went to do it it said "You cant do this quest right now due to your recent crimes comeback later" (I have not been to black water at all through my play-through) what should I do Edit: Nvm i completed the mission if you have a problem like me just save and load the game that should do the trick also thanks for this tutorial this helped out alot!

I made it up there with a mask, and suddenly got spotted by law as soon as i was about to walk up to my people. Charles started attacking them with the bow and we had a shoot out for about 5 mins before i died. 😂

Had some weird glitch where I approached the border and then, on the radar, some bounty hunters BEHIND ME spawned a ways back, even though I'm not wanted on the other side of the river.

Man I didn’t use the way point until end of chapter 2 my first play through, now on my 2nd I died like 10 times and wondering why I couldn’t get to him to only realize not using the marker is one of the things the game don’t tell you this level and the one of missions in chapter 5 is where you need to take another route

They put a mission in an area that you can't even go in until you play as John and automatically spawn like 20 lawman this made me uninstall the game after like 20 attempt because lawman just literally spawn in front of you

No missions. Black water isn’t yellow. Nothing to do except a riding on a horse simulator at this point. Game is utter trash. Worse than Cyberpunk (which broke mid game too, scanner just stopped working).
