That’s not even mentioning the waitress he had a kid with (whom were both killed, with the boy being only 1 years old) or the fact he had a mixed relationship with his dad, remarking “it weren’t soon enough” after saying he watched him die - yet he wears his dads hat. i hope red dead 3 shows the earlier history of the van der linde gang before it’s decline, and the final mission before epilogue could be the blackwater massacre, with the playable character being someone that died in it. Thus leading to arthur escaping up north in the epilogue, right before they get to colter.

RDR3 should be a Landon Ricketts based game which makes the most sense out of the proposed main ideas, this also has the best shot of being a successful game and surpassing all of the RDR games, it would also be a more accurate of a Wild West Game, because the dates could be set in 1870-80s, but this Landon Ricketts based game should have a DLC or even multiple DLC's, possibly Events of black water massacre , and Jack Marston post 1914, Jack deserves to have his story closed off / ended, and he didn't get one (at least yet) we already know of everyone elses ending (except red hadlow, who's in a different universe)

Just like when we played Red Dead Redemption 2 and didn't know Arthur, who was a completely new character and not like Dutch and Bill in Red Dead Redemption 1, I think in Red Dead Redemption 3, we also need an unknown charismatic and powerful character that wasn't mentioned in Red Dead Redemption 2 to carry out our mission And also, he can be like Arthur, who was an older brother to John Marston, an older brother or a father figure to Arthur.. @@himanshukaushal3885 i wouldnt agree that rdr is only specifically made for the van der linde gangs story keep in mind that the words in the titles symbolizes john and arthurs fate Red- Symbolizes blood Dead- Symbolizes death Redemption- Symbolizes someone who has comes to terms with their situation and has made peace with their past self just like john did when he made the ultimate sacrifice to save abigail and jack in rdr 1 the same thing goes with arthur when he sacrifices himself to save john (depending on what you choose) So although the last 2 rdr games correlates with the van der linde gang i think it would just be exhausting and a waste of opportunity to make another rdr game about the van der linde gang and not to mention that we already see almost all gang members present in the game except for jenny and the things the gang did in rdr 2 is mentioned alot in rdr 1 by john and we even see alot of these mentions in rdr 2 so i think rockstar games should make a new story for rdr 3 with a character who has alot of moral dilemmas just like john and arthur and who is also trying run away from their problems and their past but ultimately ends up paying the price of redemption by getting killed and afterwards we play as a new character just like in rdr 1 and 2

Talking about uncle, people just like to think he red Harlow, no one's interested in his backstory, folks just wanna know his real identity. I don't think R* would focus on same gang for two generations of games just to introduce a new one in third. You and me don't know what they cooking and we never will, untill R* make announcement themselves. That would take place in the 1870s if you remember Dutch and Hosea mentioned fighting for the Yankees during the American Civil war. Also their story would run concurrently with Red Harlow and Landon Ricketts . They could start with those two storylines. They could split the stories up and you could play the start of the Van Der Linde gang and Red Harlow or Landon Ricketts stories .

Probably not because if you think about it, this would be kind of boring since we know the ending of the game is just the blackwater Massacre. Not to mention Rockstar only mentions it because its one of those things that are meant to be your imagination. It keeps things mysterious. A RDR3 is most likely gonna be about a new gang, prime landon ricketts, or no rdr3 at all.
