Actually had the pleasure to meet both Roger Clark (Arthur in RDR2) and Rob Weitoff (John in RDR) 2 years ago in San Antonio. Our city is not all that big in pop culture but we still had a decent enough comic con. I went on the 2nd to last day and the big celebrity that day was Ewan Mcgregor and Giancarlo Esposito, the video game/anime actors section was practically abandoned and I found Roger and Robs booth adjacent to each other at the final left hand corner of the building practically by themselves save for their agent. I was apparently the only person that walked up to talk to them in the last 2 hours and were suprised I walked all the way to meet them since the Ewan Mcgregor line stretched round the block (Kenobi series was barely announced few days before.) I talked with Roger how in 2020 I met most of my Playstation friends playing Red Dead online and they all wanted me to get his picture and autograph. Day before I tried hunting down a physical copy of RDR2 since I only had the digital but the Game Stop near was closed and I couldn't. I did however have a physical copy of RDR1 Game Of The Year Edition which I bought in 2013. Rodger didn't mind signing it and insisted that without the sucess of RDR1 he never would have had the opportunity of his life to be in RDR2. Soon Rob came by with 2 pizzas and sure enough they both asked me if I wanted to eat with them. By now their agent, who looked like they didn't want to be their in the 1st place, started getting annoyed with me since at cons you can only spend 2 minutes (they time you) with the guest but Rob turned around and said I quote "Dude there's no one else here man let the kid live". I ended up sitting with them for almost half an hour eating pizza and talking about the bts work in production and what they had going for them in their personal lives and any future work opportunities. Rodger told me as much as he liked video game acting he much prefers doing stage/theater performance while Rob was perfectly happy going back to his farm and raising his kids. Best experience I've ever had in meeting celebrities and I wish Roger and Rob the best in their endeavors.

Roger Clark feels so authentic as a human being. I think he brought a lot of that to Authur Morgan in RDR2, and I think that's why we all connected with him so much. It's the depth of the gig - the 5 years he talks about, that eliminates the ability to be fake or putting on a persona for the entire time. It feels like he got comfortable enough with the character to be able to bring himself into it, and vice versa. Still the best character in a video game I've ever seen.

If anyone want to know what turf is, it's a type of fuel cut from peat bogs and made into bricks then it need to be dried using a method called footing which is stacking 12 sods of turf upside down 2 facing towards you and 2 facing across, this allows it dry thoroughly for weeks. This might sound easy but its one of the most tedious back aching jobs ever and trust me I'm speaking from experience
