I like how they actually made the zombies horrifying in hordes. You can't possibly take on and entire horde on foot, so your either on horse or on a roof the entire time rescuing towns. If your on foot fighting, eventually you will get ambushed from behind by a zombie.

Apparently it's just me, but I'm trying not to hate this game. After having no trouble completing the original game, I can't control this one at all. The zombies are flailing around and chasing you, making on-the-run headshots the only way to get single-shot kills. These are pretty much impossible to do with any regularity at all. And ammo is FAR too scarce to run around shooting your way through, since it can take upwards of 5 or 6 rounds to fell even the most basic enemy. This leaves the torch as your only real option at the beginning of the game. And fighting off a horde with nothing more than a torch is impossible. The only way to survive is to get a couple of hits in, then hope the horde hasn't surrounded you to the point that you die, so that you can run around avoiding them until you have regained enough to repeat the process. It is frustrating rather than fun. I'm sure it gets easier as the game progresses and you gain more weapons and ammo, but I don't know that I have the patience to get to that point. I cannot stand having to repeat the same thing over and over; I am a good enough gamer. Like I said, I finished the original game, and loved it. But when I'm dying seven or eight times just trying to get on a d*mn roof to initiate a town-saving mission, there is a problem. It's a zombie game. I should be killing zombies, not running for my life every 15 seconds, all in the hopes of getting 3 more rounds of flipping ammo. This better get more playable, and fast, or it's getting chunked across the room. I am not a novice gamer. I should not be this frustrated, this early in a game.

This DLC was definitely worth the buy, it has a sizeable chunk of story content that had a bit more freedom to play with the wacky side of RDR much like TBOGT with GTA 4, the biggest selling point for me was the multiplayer content in form of the Horde style mode had a lot of replay value for me personally despite some maps such as Blackwater being easily exploited to survive but despite that it proved a challenging and fun experience

What I was trying to say was that unlike in Red Dead Redemption, where you can still do bounties, clear out bandit hideouts, and do local jobs like horsebreaking, Undead Nightmare offers nothing once you're finished (Unless you're into waiting for every survivor to die out so you'll always have a city under attack) Basically, in Red Dead, even after beating it 100%, there's still stuff to do and keep you coming back, while Undead Nightmare has almost no replay value.

The DLC got a 10 because it's the best DLC that has ever been released. It had the typical DLC price, but had at least 15+ hours of new modes, game-play style and story. That's why it got higher than the actual game (They're also different reviewers)

I couldn't get in to this. I loved Red Dead Redemption for it's REALISM. And instead of a bright & colourful world with heart & soul, we get the usual Zombie crap in a world dark & dull most of the time. The money is gone, you're not fighting for your family, all the characters are crazy, all the animals are annoying, no camps, no time to relax & take in the atmosphere, no way to replenish your Dead Eye Meter manually at the start & it's just a wasted opportunity to simply extend the map more. And yes, I'm picky about my games.

Take my advice, if you're going on a hunting trip in Tall Trees to progress in your Undead Hunter Rankings, ride with Pestilence. Riding with any other horse, you're pretty much screwed.

Forgot to mention, this game is completely broken, there is really weird glitches in the game, like zombies just vanish and there is only non-aggressive headless people in everywhere, when this happens you can´t do any missions and if you try save the game, the game will crash. This game is more broken than Colonial Marines.

Return to Casle Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territories were the only Wolfenstein games with only released with online before CoD in 2003. They didn't have kill cams. They had the ability to watch other players run by you after you were dead. I know CoD invented the modern killcam. I'm not a huge fan of the series anymore. But, I know when to give a series credit. lol

Ok, three things wrong with this review in my opinion, One; a lot of content does not equal good gaming, as evidenced by the massive amount of garbage content in undead nightmare. Two, the price of a game or add-on or whatever has nothing to do with the quality of what you are buying, that is just stupid to say. Three; gaining points for "zombies" is ignorant. A game is not better just because it has zombies in it, that would be like saying all games are better with cowboys so lets put cowboys in Mass Effect. Also I am unsure what people mean when they say "campy" in this context I am inclined to believe that it is a nice word for 'stupid.' I only paid $2.50 for this DLC and consider it a waste of money. I found it odd that IGN gave it a rating of 10 and few of their reasons had anything to do with game play.

I thought Gun was pretty good even though I had only played it a few times. I've beaten Red Dead at least two times that I remember, working on a 3rd and I still love it. There's a new way to play it everytime. And Undead Nightmare is awesome. The mythical creatures that they added are amazing. Not a big fan of zombies but I still love both Red Dead and Undead Nightmare.
