@agssilv59195 жыл бұрын
juanisabastard I wasn’t that complicated, i used the “canon” arthur a brute who only cared about money at the beginning and would not move a finger for anyone that had nothing to do with the band or made him remember something from a long time ago but after tb I became a good boah he just wanted to bring a little happiness not just to those around him but to those who caused no harm to someone else and weapons I used the cattleman and the scholfield because he already had the cattleman and got the scholfield as a mission ( i mainly used revolvers ) i used the lancaster after micah found it on that mission and the double barrel shotgun found on the odriscol settlement and for jhon he wanted to have a low profile so I behaved like a good boy all the time used his cattleman as the main weapon and arthur’s as a secondary had a regular carabine and never saw him using a shotgun so I didn’t

After I finished the game I did exactly that but the sad part is, is that you already know what’s gonna happen. You can’t live that first experience again and have it be the same. I played the game the first time without sound, because my mom was always around and she doesn’t like games that have guns. After i restarted the game, I realized I messed up my first experience by not playing it with sound and I really regret it. You can never live first experiences ever again, and if I had one wish, it would be to live any first experience again. Because this game, was absolutely amazing and I really wish they come out with another one, maybe like Arthur’s younger life or something. If they make a Red Dead Redemption 3, I want it to be from Arthur’s perspective, because I want to live as Arthur again and share his memories, even if they aren’t real. I want to be able to live my second life as him because he is such an amazing character and if the perspective changes, it would be really sad for me because Arthur is such an in-depth character and it would be fantastic if I could know more about his younger life with the gang.

LJ not only was Arthur the greatest Rockstar protagonists (and one of the greatest protagonists in Video Game history) but Micah Bell doesn’t get enough credit as probably the best antagonist in Rockstar’s history. I disagree with this. Arthur's death was an integral part of the story. A story that I and so many others loved. A story that inspired many. Arthur went out on top. He tells John that it would mean a lot to him if John left and saved himself while Arthur stayed and fought. It's what Arthur wanted at that moment to redeem himself of some of his past actions and to be at peace. When crawling away from Micah, he says, "...it turns out I've won." Without him dying in that fashion, it would be a completely different story. The entire game was great, but the ending made it so much more meaningful and unforgettable to me.

While I think that yes, having that would've been amazing, I feel like Rockstar shipped it the way it is in the game to highlight the strength of they loyalty bond Dutch inspires in his gang, when they back him up in that same scene. Had Dutch done that circling move, it would have looked threatening, sure, but it would also mean (or sell the image) that he doesn't need the gang to be a badass which would actually feel kind of wrong, because Dutch's strength IS the gang. And as you can see in the story, when Dutch starts losing his gang either literally or only their loyalty, is when he gets weak and things start going to hell.

I love how Ben and Roger are just so into the franchise and really love the games. I feel like there's actors out there who just do a job to do a job and don't really enjoy or respect the material they're involved in. I feel like the performance capture, in general, gets the actors so much more involved in the story, never mind the fact there is just so much more footage than movies would have.

37:19 That is exactly the message I got from the game so it was nice to hear it from Roger himself. Arthur realized his fate & it made him morally confront himself. In chapter 6 he was really reflective on his past actions, & realized the dishonorable way that he beat a sick man. If he would not have beaten Mr. Downs for money he would not have contracted TB. & in the end, Micah beat up Arthur (a sick man) on the mountaintop. It seemed like karma to me. But I got the good ending where Arthur died on the mountaintop watching the Sunrise.

I don't know why but... I always love the way Arthur says, "Sure". I knew the voice actor was from somewhere... different. I couldn't place it... I thought maybe cajun, or lived in Canada for a while; I never would have guessed half American half Irish... but it fits. And I could listen to Dutch talk all day long. Like most people, I was ready to "keep it together" and follow Dutch to the ends of the earth. I never played the first RDR, so this was my first exposure to Dutch, but I absolutely love his character... and everyone seems to play off of Ben so well (Roger too), it's just magical.

I knew the graphics and programming were detailed to a blade of grass. I found out the storyline was to the finest degree. I had no idea the acting and voiceover had been such intricate to be cream of the crop. Literally everything about this games was done by people that poured their heart and soul into it. Whomever was responsible for this hitting the gaming industry should fight or question anymore about the perfection of this game. Closest to a virtual real world you can get. Besides the few minor glitches. Amazing job.

It's funny. On my second and third play through's I found myself wanting to change the ending. I was like... With all of the history these two have, they just need to have a real, hard talk. And they could have worked it out. THAT is how good this game is. It had me, knowing the ending was unavoidable, but pondering the alternative. That is how you know a game/story/etc... connected with you. Great job by so many performers and game artists.

Knowing now that Ben cried during Arthur's death actually makes me a bit happy and I really wish they had used some of that in the game. I was always wondering if Dutch realized he had made a mistake or what his real feelings about Arthur dying were because he doesn't really talk about it in the last chapter or in the moment. So now I know what was going on in his head in a way. I think if Dutch had stayed with Arthur to the end after Micah walked away that would have been even better.
