A snail-Scylla hybrid (Snylla?) A sexy feng-huang liminal. A chimera (with an Ojou-Sama laughing human mind). A Dino-dragon. A giant red oni. A living Asura statue. A living armor with a drill-lance-cannon. And an evil Gandalf with two dragon familiars, who goes full demon. Not a bad lineup, really.

So this is the original game they came from. It has fantastic designs and it even had a 1 shot manga. Leo, Hauser and Hydron made it back for Capcom Fighting Jam and Tabassa/Tessa made it to Pocket street fighter. Like Darkstalkers and Rival Schools it was left to rot tho.

Awesome I always wondered how RedEarth gameplay was for the longest I thought it was a StreetFighter Vs. Clone but this is more of a Final Fight/StreetFighter,Boss Rush Hybrid...I've seenTessa in Pocket Fighters and Leo,Hydron ,Huaser in Capcom Ultimate Fighter this should be remastered into Vs. Game these characters deserve proper spotlight,,,and you can see where BlazeBlue from Arc System got their inspiration...

Just like the PC-FX, the CPS3 was a powerful 2D hardware that however came at the wrong time, when 3D was all the rage. After more than 20 years, this game still has few matches in the visual department, with amazing characters and backgrounds; it's also the only among the few CPS3 titles that didn't get an home port - it was a new IP, with neither the already strong Street Fighter brand or the strong Jojo license behind, home consoles at the time would handle only with great cuts to the visual quality, and it was very unusual among fighting games. I just wish two players could cooperate against enemies just like in Monster Maulers. In regard to the latter point, if you played Metamoqester soon, the tryptich of this small subgenre would be complete.

Are you telling me Blade's weapon was the inspiration for the design of Gilgamesh's Ea in Fate? That's one interesting find. On a different note, I wish they went a bit more flashy with some of Tessa's moves. Her summons are quite tiny, killing the visual impact of using the moves.

Hauzer's animations remind me of a Carnotaurus character from another fighting game. The base idling model is pretty much the same (minus all the extra bits they added) -- but that's probably because both were Capcom games (IIRC)

MforZorro | Movesets I managed some time ago. I recall it wasn't part of the main romset but one of the CHDs (CD and Laserdisc images) which may be distributed as a separate set. Once I got the file, it was pretty straghtforward; I just had to alt-tab while the game did a lenghty initial setup like with the original hardware (which copied the CD data and then decrypted it)
