Hello every one. I am a very active Red Eyes Black Dragon player with lots of red eyes deck , red eyes combos , red eyes test hands on my channel . I have had lots of 1st place red eyes deck over the years and have given every one of Joey's cards a try at some point. This video can also be considered a yugioh red eyes tier list .

I mean unless you're normal summoning Gearfried or Black Metal Dragon I don't see what you could be normal Summoning, considering that literally every other Red eyes is 1/2 tributes, besides if you're using Red Eyes Fusion anyway that isn't a huge deal. You'll be setting up your graveyard for if Dragoon or Slash gets dealt with.

@@LordTrent. For a deck that focuses on summoning dragoon with fusion like eldlich or guru it's really not bad. Besides insight can send the card from hand to the grave so even if you draw wyvern it's still usable.

Send Black flare dragon to the grave, add whatever card you want (fusion is good for this). In your next turn: SS a Red-eyes black dragon, use It and a slash dragon as materials for flare metal dragon, use metal's effect to SS a Red-eyes Black dragon, then monster reborn flare dragon and use them for a second metal flare dragon. This combo is extremely satisfiyng to pull off

Same here. Had a match a few months back where I could have easily lost or stalemated if they attacked. Instead, they destroyed my Red-Eyes with an effect and I popped Red-Eyes Burn for the immediate victory. Wasn't the first time I won with the card, either.

I send Red-eyes archfiend of lightning to the graveyard with insight, so later i can bring him to the field and blow up stuff or use him as fuel for GY Burn effects. It Works and it's good

I’m a huge Red Eyes fan and it’s the only deck that I currently still play. Man I really wish Konami would make a retrained version of Lord of the Red: level 7, dark attribute and with Red Eyes in the name. That would be perfect and this monster definitely deserves a better treatment. I’m currently working on a strategy that puts triple flare, fang with chains and Lord of The Red on board, but it’s a 3 cards combo and one hand trap can ruin everything. Perhaps if the Blaster the dragon ruler was limited to 1, it would make Lord of the Red an easier monster to search 🤔

Archfiend should be higher. It’s a free nuke every turn. And yes every turn because you can keep reviving it off the red eyes revival trap. The red eyes stone draw card is so bad. It’s ironically really inconsistent.

dude that archfiend thing don't even work on links, takes up ur normal summon its not a dragon its not lvl 7 most boss monsters have atleast 2500 def and most of them cannot be destroyed by card effects and he is too slow most decks gonna kill you before you have a 3thd turn to even summon him if you go first

Aay pretty good video As an avid redeyes player, id agree with pretty much everything you guys said. though i tend to play more chaos variants with felgrand and such. people sleep on Redeyes xyz, he puts so much pressure on opp to play well. It's pretty insane. Love the redeyes support you've been giving out.

@@bijuutamer729 no id put that in f tier tbh id use sacred swords of seven stars as it can be used with any lvl 7 and if you use darkwurm to search for pendulum it's essentially a free dig to ensure you get to combo. as well as a last ditch effort to get into something Essentially it's a good draw card that goes against your engine so it's always live and the redeyes draw card doesn't do that for you. so yeah no it's not good.

Toons are a fun gimmick but at that price you might as well invest in a component Rogue strategy. a very good combo with baby is to smash it bring gearfried, then with gearfried bring another gearfried and add metal dragon and equio to the other gearfried, then use the effect to bring a lvl 7 red eyes and make the searh of metal dragon, xyz both of gearfried into queen dragun use its effect to bring comet so u can get a link 2 like verte anaconda and with comet bring a second lvl 7 red-eyes so u can get a metal flare and verte anaconda plus any red-eyes card in hand. the only deal is that u need to already have a gearfried and the comet in gv

It's a little crazy seeing this tier list and remembering the matches I've gone through where a lot of victories were decided on C-Tier and lower cards. Also, there's now a Link monster in the Red-Eyes archetype, but I just haven't been able to summon it.

I'd bump up Insight to S, Archfiend B. Skull Dragon, Baby Dragon , Alternative, and Black Flare Dragon to A, and Inferno Fire Blast to B/C. Great list though! Very enjoyable!

Black Flare is definitely an S tier card. It can put your opponent into checkmate by itself and sometimes is even more oppressive than an omni negate since the burn isn’t once per turn.

You can only use this effect of "Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon" once per turn" It Is a once per turn. Being a lv.7 normal, Red-Eyes monster is the reason I'd bump it higher. Not counting as Red-Eyes Black Dragon while it has its effects (and being a gemini in general) is the reason I didnt put it as high as it can go. Still, a card that I run at 3 regardless.

Red-Eyes has been relegated to pretty much a Dragoon Control deck. Make dragoon either hard activating REF or by Verte... search and set your Backrow traps like Spirit and Fang and pretty much widdle your opponent’s resources while they try to continually take care of your dragoon.. it’s surprisingly consistent, plays under nibiru (and a lot of other hand traps) and can go into a lot of toolbox plays with XYZs and Links after the first turn.

Yes you make 4800 direct demage with it beacause Alternative doubles the originial Atack and that's what inferno mentions 👍

Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon is an really good card actually and easily can have the most attack power of any Red-Eyes card and is a pretty solid boss monster and with cards now he csn get protection now

I love lord of the red in my blue eyes ritual deck as an advanced ritual art target dumping bewd to the grave fuelling the other effects/ultimate fusion and then it just pops off enemy cards. Also the black luster soldier ritual that board wipes. They never see it coming :)

How tf is Malefic above Black Flare? Just by the off chance that someone plays a field spell? If you’re playing a field spell It may as well be catalyst field which not only lets you summon Black flare without cost, but can (target)destroy any opponents card by banishing it for 1 turn. Even without a field spell, Black Flare can be infinitely revived with Return and Flare Metal. also Red Stone is definitely not A tier, and you guys give way too much credit to the rituals/ not enough credit to Hermos.

I remember back when red eyes first got support in the form of the 2 new fusions, the insight and the giminis ,,,, the thing was fusion sends from the deck, and insight itself sends red eyes from the deck,,,, the red eyes dragons in grave now work as fuel for the 3200 fusion monster , because his burn effect requires returning a red eyes B. Dragon from the grave to the deck and burn for 2400,, the draw card has that same synergy. Fusion , foolish burial the dragons,,,,,, get the fusion monster, back the dragons and burn for 2400,,,,, like a loop, ofc that's hella slow now but yea that's the rationale behind that weird interaction

I think Konami needs to stop forcing Normal monsters in Red-Eyes beside the OG I hate being forced to give up main deck space to get access to the solid Fusion monsters. I think this deck needs a archetype fusion substitute that lets it substitute any material(even if its not specific). The deck also needs a card that lets you fusion better and ritual better. If they ever do retrain or do a different Darkness Dragon it needs to be an extra deck monster or a ritual (to encourage a better ritual spell). Also another lvl 7 Xyx could be interesting to, Blue-Eyes has like 3 synchros for variety they should have it too. I don't I haven't played Yugioh hardcore for awhile so what do I know. Overall I think Konami needs to stop hating on this deck and fix it.

Yea I think it would be cool to add a gear fried xyz or even better more cards like Black Metal Dragon that have Red-Eyes in the name and can be warrior too. I think the equip gimmicks could've worked if it was so limited. I actually really like Slash Dragon but I don't think it's the optimal way to play the deck.

*Repost. Would a Golden Idol/ Eyes or Exodia tier be a neat step down or not enough cards? Go through all the Duellist Kingdom introduced monsters? Harpies, Archfiends or Gaia next if I can throw out any ideas. I think since you have done the three 'starters' of YGO you've probably now locked yourself into a journey. ;) All the more power to you. With the lesser population types like Dinosaurs and anything under can an overall whole tier video work or would it have to be split into archetypes etc? Because dinosaurs and lower pop tend to find more flexibility in merging but correct me if I'm wrong, thank you for your efforts and insight. I'm more of a collector/ revisiting YGO art/game apprectator of recent, absolutely no expert.

"Red-Eyes Black Fullmetal Dragon" should belong to either A or S since he is easy to use, plus he's an omni-negation monster. And with "Enhanced Metalmorph" on his side, he cannot be targeted or destroyed by any magic also monster effects. Making "Fullmetal" one of the best "Red-Eyes" monsters in the game close to "Red-Eyes Black Dragoon".

Having tried the red eyes tenyi I can say that the deck isn't really that bad. It's nothing too amazing but a big monster backed up by the tenyi monsters and/or the field spell can be a problem for some decks to deal with.

I'm sick of Konami trying to bury Red-Eyes B. Chick, my brother in Christ, either rename it or errata it. If they change their minds about this card they should add something like this. Evolution of Red-Eyes Spell, Continuous When this card is activated, Add 1 "Red-Eyes B. Chick" and 1 Level 7 "Red-Eyes" Monster from your deck to your hand. If a Red-Eyes Spell/Trap is activated, Special Summon 1 Level 1 Dragon that specifically list "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" onto the field. You can only use each of the effects of "Evolution of Red-Eyes" Once per turn

I'm freshly returning to playing the game, how does Summon Skull have any connection to Archfiend Black Skull Dragon beyond just inspiration? I was trying to find where Archfiend Black Skull lists Summon Skull (or Beast of Talwar) for material or how the ruling would include them under "level 6 'archfiend' normal monster" and can't. Can someone explain?

this list is horribly inadequate, i took RE to lcq Dallas-Fort worth and almost got my nats invite, in a format with sky striker trickstar and gouki and firewall. (I was new to the competitive nature of tournaments, and both times i went round 4 on lcq's they cheated. 1st time he was playing Mekk-Knight trickstar sky striker, he activated set cbtg the same turn preventing me to run the full baby dragon combo, 2nd time the guy stalled for time, lied that he went to bp and proceeded to atk with knightmare uniccore after popping monster) tier 1 - re b. dragon (always respect KurokuRyu) dragoon, fusion, flare, fang. tier 2 -darkness metal, slash, insight, b. stone, red stone, b metal, baby dragon, gearfried, return, inferno fire blast, retro, tier 3 - black flare, alternative, paladin, paladin spell, lord of red lord red spell, black skull archfiend tier 4 - malefic, re burn, summoned skull, tier trash - sword, comet, meteor comet, hermos, b chick, metal, the old comet, the old archfiend fusion, toon, zombie, the ho zombie synchro

I disagree with your suggestion Red Eyes Alternative Black Dragon being B tier. It doesn’t change it’s name to the original, it doesn’t have any effects on the field until it’s sent to graveyard by battle. And even if it makes Red Eyes Black Dragon stronger...that’s it. It doesn’t offer protection from being destroyed or affected by cards or monsters nor give burn damage. Red Eyes Alternative Black Dragon is high D tier at best. I also don’t think Red Eyes Malefic Dragon is A tier either. Because it requires a field to be special summoned. Sure that could potentially help summon Red Eyes Flare Metal Dragon, but that’s already going through hoops to make it work. That card low D tier and that’s being generous. If Red Eyes Alternative Black Dragon could be special summoned from the hand by revealing a Red Eyes monster, have its name changed to the original and burn your opponent in exchange for attacking, then it’d be good. Even make it S tier.

Except you don't want to have any Red-Eyes sitting in your hand. You want them in the GY. Interestingly enough, you can totally make a Red-Eyes deck without the vanilla (yes that's means not using Dragoon or Slash) or only 1 of them and still be perfectly fine. The archetype doesn't really cares about OG Red-Eyes. It cares about Level 7 or lower Red-Eyes. Making Red-Eyes Alternative being just a copy-and-paste of Blue-Eyes Alternative will not make the card good. Because the two decks plays differently. Red-Eyes doesn't particuliary cares about Black Dragon, while Blue-Eyes is litteraly centered around Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Alternative Black isn't meant to be a beater. It's a combo piece. Not a particuliary good one (Malefic is ten times better in that regard, particuliary in Dragon Link) tho.

@@totof2327 I didn’t ask for alternative to be a copy hence why I suggested it do burn damage instead of destroying an enemy. And since the archetype is making it easier to summon the original and have cards that require it specifically, they still do care about it to an extent.
