Yeah I guess you can say more like signature card than Ace Monster because of course the Ace is the main monster than there are signature cards they use a lot. I know Yugi has a ton of signatures cards that now have their own archetype like the Face-Knights, Gaia/Curse of Dragon, Dark Magician, Silent, Magnets

I would agree with this tier list. Personally I wouldn't play anything under this list's B Tier. I like Gaia a lot. One of my favorite decks to have some fun or casual matches in Master Duel

I'd say Arisen Gaia deserves to be higher on the tier list, like right next to Lord Gaia, as in every deck I've used him in, he's got me out of lots of pickles and helped me win many duels.

I'm thinking about playing the vanilla dragon curse as a one of.. if i play Dragon dragon shrine. Wich is a nice option since the new fusion allows you to banish material from the grave and magical knight can special from grave and hand so it doesn't matter if you search it to hand or grave. Basically dragon shrine is a double search... Me just thinking

Heaven and Earth is supposed to set up the LIGHT and DARK banishment for Black Luster Soldier Envoy. Basically its a quicker mill so if your opponent chooses Envoy, you can banish those Warriors in your GY.

Keeper of dragon magic combined with dragon champion gets you a free summon off his effect and the fusion spell. Also if you use curse of dragon normal monster along with dragon champion you can summon him out of the graveyard. the dragon is the hard search in this deck because you run fewer.

One of my favourite combo with Soldier Gaia is tributing itself to get Envoy of the beginning. Soldier Gaia is searchable with Artillery Turtle. Not really A tier strategy but it's a decent fallback. Imagine a board with 52k Magical Gaia and Envoy of Chaos 😂😂 And honestly, I didn't even realize that 1st effect of Galloping Gaia Field spell 😂.

you missed one thing about envoy of chaos, if the affected monster battles a monster with higher ATK, that higher ATK's monster is restored causing the gaia to be the victor even tho it was like 5000 or more ATK (provided that the enemy monster's original ATK was 3300 or lower) so tbh it shouldn't be c tier, maybe 1 tier at least.

You guys messed up on Gaia the Magical Knight of Dragons, the one that gets 5200 is Sky Galloping Gaia the Dragon Champion, that's the one who can flip cards and attack twice.

Yes, but before gaia got support cards and became good enough to run as its own Stand alone archetype it ran along side Black luster soldier and went hand in hand, now you can play them as separate archetypes

I play Gaia in a YGO RP server and the first thing I suggested was nerfing Spiral Fusion to now be so silly kekw. We made it HOPT and only give the atk bonus when under 4k LP. Since otks are a bit silly

Okay not trying to come off with a fuck you but the synchro for Gaia is actually pretty good minus the Gaia deck itself true it's legit just a vanilla synchro monster (I believe) however it's clutch in Shooting Quasar decks or at least the build I do. Add level eater to that and it's pretty good. However as of rn I'm not sure if level eater is forbidden but I do agree that for the Gaia deck he is absolute hot garbage do not use him in this it's not worth it. But in order to get big ass strong synchros he's not bad for those sooooo plus when he came out he was one of the rare few Gaia monsters anyway.

Gaia the Dragon Champ, Curse of Drag and Gaia the Fierce Knight are OP tier in LOB pack only challenges. Modern Yu-gi-oh is for queers.

Hell no, Gaia is definitively worse than Dark Magician, Red-Eyes, and especially Tri-Horned and the legendary Blue-Eyes. Dragon Champion was never playable at any point. Curse of Dragon may have had use before Judge Man and Summoned Skull in the Starter Decks, but that's it.

Also that one trap is a continuous trap so just flip it on your opponents turn if magical champion survives whatever they do on your turn with all this meta Yu-Gi-Oh bs lol. Yes if it was a continuous spell we wouldn't even he talking about any of this but it's Gaia not dark magician so Konami could care less.

Also I hate how Yu-Gi-Oh! Is legit about OTKs now it's so fucking stupid. I sit down to a dude who prolly hasn't showered in a week playing fuckin solitaire when he goes first. It legit sucks ass now and the whole OTK format should be banned or at least if not banned you don't get to enter tournaments with them. So that way you know you actually play with another human being and have fun and a challenge rather than sitting there beefing up a monster to one shot your opponent.

IN PURE GAIA DECK: Gaia the Fierce Knight is better than Gaia the Fierce Knight Origin. These both cards are useless in Gaia deck but at least with original you can fusion summon Gaia the Dragon Champion. Curse of Dragon is better than Curse of Dragonfire. Dragonfire cannot special summo itself so it has equal S.summon possibilities as original one. Dragonfire has an effect, but it is weak (you probably always will have a fusion spell, so original Curse of Dragon at least can be used for original Gaia the Dragon Champion. Gaia the Dragon Champion can still get ATK boost from fusion spell if F.summoned so no F tier for this champ. Seriously Gaia the Fierce Knight Origin or you is A? You said it yourself that you evaluate the cards within the archetype, not in general. Origin's first effect is useless, because all Gaia warriors already have effect that they can be special summoned or normal summoned without tributing. Special summoning it will not give anything but free body for link summon which in pure Gaia deck happens rarely, or you can combine with any other LV4 monster, XYZ summon to any Rank4, then xyz summon to any Rank5 which can be summoned on top of Rank4, then Xyz summon XYZ Gaia monster on top of Rank5. This combo requires some space in extra deck plus needs to free bodies on field. And the third effect of Origin is useless in most of the cases since Gaia the Magical Knight of Dragons can boost his ATK and rarely drops it to 0. Gaia the Fierce Knight vanilla monster is at least a material for OG Gaia the Dragon Champion. Gaia Drake is good option for Waking the Dragon so it is not useless since his effect is pretty good.
