Red's strength was that he could really swing. He has more rhythm in his little pinky than I do in my whole body. And of course everything he played was perfect.

I love Red, PC and AT - one of the great trios in jazz. Red has so much joyful bounce and swing like his heroes Nat Cole and Count Basie and his playing is clear and totally unpretentious. Great job as always Anthony!🙏

Tasty and good to the last "block !" This trio's feel and cohesion is an inspiration for all time, and a reminder that life is joy and joy is life- Or can be. Much gratitude for this channel, providing this insight into unique Red Garland style, and so many other essentials of jazz.

Red must have been a happy guy. Perks me right up. Severely underrated. I guess when Bill and Wynton followed he got lost.

What about Red or his playing is "severely underrated"? Red is admired and respected by many people as being one of the jazz greats.
