Lol, I experienced that same oh shoot moment when my Raven wouldn’t power on until I discovered the little switch! The side handle is one of the best accessories I bought for my Raven, you’re going to love not having to use the touchscreen which keeps it nice and fingerprint free, and once you set up the memory buttons, quick access to all sorts of preferred options will be a huge time saver for you.

Great video! You did the one thing I wanted to see that no one did. Swivel the screen front. I want to use this as an a cam but didn’t know if the screen can be turned to the front. 🙏

Nice, business must be going great for you. So next year when you inevitably purchase another new RED camera, would you please shoot the unboxing video on this Gemini in 5K?

Cool video. Sadly you could clearly HEAR this one too as it powered up. Enjoy the latitude. Powerful little unit!
@JerseyFilmmaker6 жыл бұрын
Louw Verwoerd why is that sad? The fans turn off and/or silence when shooting. It’s a powerful computer and the fans are needed to keep it at the appropriate temperature. They can turn off tho and won’t ruin your shots

@@JerseyFilmmaker, I haven't had the pleasure of working with this camera yet. When you found the 'on switch', it was very Audible 😂. Every RED cam I've worked along side with, has turned on it's fan during a crucial take and point of dialogue. My comment referred to the audible fan. It would be fantastic if the Gemini keeps quiet during a take, especially those looong, continuous takes 😉

Great video. Can you tell me the model battery you went with and where to purchase?
I am having problems with Gemini hot pixels, random 'dead pixels'. If you know any information on that, it would be awesome. Already tried many different type of sensor calibration but nothing has changed thank you!
@JerseyFilmmaker5 жыл бұрын
I would assume that is a true sensor issue. You should reach out to RED about that.

WOW ! Nice unboxing.. savage! Hahaha I want to sell my RAVEN for this Gemini... what do you think about that? Actually i miss low light performance and a bit more than just 4.5k (as it's not 16/9 4.5k)..!

That's exactly what I did, so I love the idea!!

I was thinking of doing the same thing selling my Raven. You have any suggestions on the best place to do that? I thought maybe Ebay or selling it to Adoroma
@JerseyFilmmaker6 жыл бұрын
Leon D. You will certainly get ripped off selling to a reselller (i.e. Adorama). I used Instagram to put it out there, but I thankfully have built an audience that would be interested. eBay is not a bad idea, but you will get hit with lots of fees

05:10 _"High quality"_ ?? Bro, there's no quality, in any height measured by human beings in the preservable universe, that can justify a $2,750 price tag on a seven-inch screen. Word! I get the whole color science deal behind the RED cameras and their 17-fuck-me stops of dynamic range, but those mofos are outrageously overpriced on the accessories, memory storage, etc.
@theolufson2 жыл бұрын
The actual screen inside their 4.7" monitor is like $30 on eBay. It's insanity.
