How good and hard is it to play the drumming on this track. C Smith is superb drummer but any chillies fan knows this already.

To keep up that same repetitive snare to tom and ride cymbal beat for almost 5 minutes would be nerve racking for most drummers I would imiagine. Hats off to a legendary drummer!

Actually not all that difficult to play. Caveat, difficulty means nothing. Chad came up with a phenomenal part that fits this piece of music perfectly. That’s the brilliance of this band. Just great players that know how each of them serve the music. It’s an incredibly fun song to play on drums and being in 6/8 you can really have fun just dancing around on the kit with it.

that mellotrone gives a interesting feeling to the song, just like the studio version. I like the frusciantes versions of course too (i mean the times that he play this song on the BTW Tour), i mean he´s the creator, but i always miss the mellotrone´s sounds, this time sounds really damn amazing. Thanks josh for bring this classics again

fuck off, this band was at its most alive when john frusciante was their guitarist and you know it. Every RHCP fan knows it, Josh is an adequate enough puppet to play Johns songs / write inoffensive and similar enough guitar parts to johns, but John made this band what it is today with his guitar work, he went well above and beyond the groundwork that Slovak laid out on the first albums.
