I mean I must say he adds nothing to these live concerts and I've watched 20+ RHCP full live concerts... Josh was the way but they lost that gem. No more dark necessities Josh incredible solos, no more dark necessities at all tbh such a peak RHCP song. Now they're back to spamming the old songs they wrote while only John was in the band which we've all heard a billion times. Their new stuff seems to be missing the sweet spot as well. Personally I don't care if John is ''the OG'' member, Josh really outdid him by a mile with his clutch saves by jumping in and singing, doing insane solos etc. Just listen to ''by the way'' they did in this concert. Half the lyrics are just wrong and John doesn't even bother clutching it. Idk how ppl think this is better ..
@MJBeef2 жыл бұрын
@@Daminionz I was kinda scared to say that lol. I miss Josh, he is so great live. Great!! And I've listed to the new album maybe 10x and fall asleep about 5 tracks in every time. Id like to hear an interview with him about how his firing went down and what he's doing now.

@ledhed9272 жыл бұрын
@@kareasutherland6367 Most definitely, they were meant to create an album like this at this current stage in their lives. Easily their best since Stadium, I like that they’ve deviated from the typical hit song formula that they’ve had. Plus, going completely analog with the instrument tracks (Anthony’s vocals were the only element that ran through a computer) really benefits their sound in a huge way. 🤙🌶🔥
@rubenca55862 жыл бұрын
its like they all make each other sound better and play better, i missed this chemistry when josh was the solo guitarist
@ledhed9272 жыл бұрын
@@rubenca5586 Most definitely. In a recent interview with Rick Rubin, John mentions how they’re very similar to jazz players. An example would be with accompanying Flea’s bass parts, John says that it already has a guitar part built into it. He just has to be aware enough to play what’s already there in the air for him, in that moment. From there, their sounds are infinitely revolving between Flea, John, and Chad. Such a beautiful thing to hear and see. ❤️
