John is an amazing guitarist with an AMAZING tone. He will go down as one of the best guitarists of all time. But, Josh Klinghoffer is damn good as well, and I am sure he will leave his mark on the band with his unique style. I am not going to judge by hearing one single, I will listen to the album and take it for what it is.....a RHCP album.

I heard that when they were looking for their second single from Blood Sugar Sex Magick, the record execs came down and watched play live to judge which song should be #2. When they played "Under The Bridge" THE ENTIRE CROWD sang every word. Kiedis apologized for that. The execs said "What the fuck are you talking about? THAT's our second single!"

@pedroPfxr no he means John replaced Hillel at one point and john brought something different to the band. Josh is replacing John while bringing in his own style or touch.

As a lot of fans, when I first heard about the replacement of John, I must admit I was very suspicious. Then I listened to the album. It was already great. But what about the live performance ? After seing this video, I'm definitely convinced that the Red Hot are really lucky to have found Josh. Don't forget he's already working with RHCP & John for some years now, I do not thing any other guitarist would handle the job better than him... May be he's really the spiritual son of John, afterall...
