The secret to flying is throwing yourself really hard at the Earth and miss. Satellites (and the International Space Station for that matter) orbit around Earth at insane speeds, the ISS in particular at 17,200 mph. Also, gravity is the most far reaching of the fundamental forces, and even though it gets weaker, nothing's ever not affected by it.

Um... satellites are basically as affected by gravity as someone standing on the ground. They _are_ falling. _Constantly_. They're just _missing the ground_, due to their high "horizontal" (as in perpendicular to a line between the satellite and the centre of the Earth) speed. That’s what orbits are, and why microgravity and freefall are basically the same thing. A very entertaining yet effective way to get to grips with this whole thing is to play some Kerbal Space Program.

@matta98748 жыл бұрын
Because watching a mindless monster destroy things for two hours seems like a bad thing to movie executives.
@pious838 жыл бұрын
Because to non-comic book fans and in pop culture in general, there is the massive misconception that Hulk=Simple Rage Monster. Basing a whole film around that concept would be a pretty shallow experience. However when they try to adapt some of the actual core ideas and lore of Hulk onto the big screen, those ignorant of the facts don't understand and ultimately reject it. Hulk is basically one of the characters stuck in a Catch 22 situation when it comes to a solo film.

Thanks for all the hard work. With that I have a question; When I was a kid, some twentyno-onesbuisnessyearsago, I remember the old X-Men, Spider-Man, and Fantastic 4/Silver Surfer cartoons on Fox. In an episode of the Silver Surfer Galactus was coming to earth to feed off its energy and thoroughly mopped the floor with everyone, of course. Ghost Rider came in and in less than one minute completely KO'ed the big guy with his Penance Stare. If you could/would/will elaborate on how effective Ghost Riders Penance Stare is and how it could actually defeat someone like Galactus that would be awesome. I ask because Ghost Rider is very overlooked in terms of his own powers versus higher tier characters.

Okay so let me just say this about the hammer. Yes it can manipulate the gravity of a planet easily. It was made from a dying star. Basically that hammer is a neutron star, but denser. It could also potentialy manipulate time as well. so basically that hammer makes it's self lighter or heavier depending on who is trying to pick it. It either has the wieght of a star, or the wieght of a feather.
@brankodimitrijevic3828 жыл бұрын
the hair thing is from the real Samson from the old testament
@nishantmandiye7 жыл бұрын
According to their rules for the hammer, the hammer changes its gravity to prevent someone from lifting it. So in space, the red hulk would only be able to move the hammer towards earth or in a constant steradian radius around earth or any celestial object with strong gravitational field close by. This leads to a concept marvel hasn't explored. At just the right distance from any celestial body if someone unworthy tries to move the hammer away from it - the special metal will condense so small that it will collapse into a black hole. Now I have not run the calculations, but it will be a very small black hole that would evaporate much faster than regular ones. They got to do something with this concept and pay me for it later
@samueldimmock6942 жыл бұрын
First of all, that would require way too much math for a comic book. Second, it's a really good idea. Third, in your black hole scenario, wouldn't the hammer would me more likely to pull itself towards the person trying to wield it, resulting in them being unable to move it far enough away from them to actually do anything with it? Unless the person wasn't affected by gravity, in which case that would release the God Storm and be really cool. Fourth, that assumes it would increase its gravitational attraction to itself, which may not be the case; if it isn't, it would become attracted very strongly to all celestial objects and, if it were approximately equidistant between at least two of them, tear itself to pieces, which would also release the God Storm. Finally, it's a really cool idea.

I know this is a super old video but I just wanted to correct that The Hulk persona wasn't the manifestation of his anger of how bad his life was. It was a manifestation of his trauma of how he viewed his father. The Hulks simple childish raw nature is because he's a representation of emotion itself and the mind of Bruce as a child. He's always angry and destructive as a reflection of how his father acted around the house. And his unstoppable..ness is a result of how Bruce saw his father. And the madder he got the stronger and more unstoppable he was. It was like the Mind of Bruce created a physical interpretation of his own PTSD. And as a result it's unstoppable other than for Bruce himself. Sad story. And really beautiful. I like it a lot more than the demonic origin of the Hulk.

Drezzy G.F.T.P Its still there, but its called infinity gaunlet on his channel, he doesnt call it quest
@DrezzyEFTP8 жыл бұрын
The beyonder naw he had two separate ones, infinity gaunlet is showing how thanos was using it. He had Thanos quest which he discussed thoroughly video by video how Thanos got each stone. It was like a five or six part video he had separate from the infinity gaunlet a while back.

The point about Earth's gravity in space is so fundamentally wrong. There IS gravity in space close to Earth. A lot of it. Satellites and anything in Earth orbit experiences nearly the same gravitational force as we do on Earth. The reason things don't fall down is because they are travelling "sideways" extremely fast - One way of thinking of it is they ARE falling to Earth but constantly missing because they are also moving forward. The reason you "float" in space is not lack of gravity, it is merely because you are inside a vessel "falling" at the same rate as you are. Thor's hammer would retain the vast majority of its weight and still be immovable. Even in an environment devoid of any gravity, Thor's hammer would still have all of its mass, which requires a force to act upon it in order to be moved - this is why only those "worthy" would still be the only ones able to move it.
@Chris-jo1zr8 жыл бұрын
Exactly, if anything the hammer would be harder to move because you have nothing to push against to try to lift it, you'd be pushing and pulling on a magnificently fixed space in... space.

Great video. How the fuck did general Ross become a hulk?? The red hulk is awesome, I love his wit. This made me think about the grey hulk, didn't the green hulk with the purple pants merge with grey hulk and banners mind to make the green hulk with blue pants(this hulk couldn't change into Bruce banner but had the mind of Bruce banner). Basically all of the hulks personalities merged into one, did they split again? Or did a new writer forget about that merge of the hulks in the 90's??

You actually touch on a point I think Rob missed in this video. The issue that he showed last, with General Ross and Doc Samson standing over Red Hulk pissed a lot of people off. Marvel sold this issue with the tagline that the identity of the Red Hulk would be revealed by the end of it. There were comic forum riots after it came out, as they didn't make any revelation.
@onebignerd45977 жыл бұрын
Ross is there..."we gave you everything you need". Ross is Red Hulk, with...Ross standing there? Huh? Maester Rob, 32min video and you couldn't elaborate just a LITTLE more man, lol! I literally was like "HUH?" at the end...

Massive blunder in this video... gravity is not "weaker" in space... well not where satellites are anyway.. satellites experience about 90% the same gravity as we do on the ground. The real reason they stay in orbit is because their angular momentum is greater than their downward momentum.
@austinhodges95488 жыл бұрын
Adam A Thank you for spelling that out. I knew someone would have pointed out the mistake. Also, if red hulk doesn't hold onto Thor while fighting in space then one hit and they'd fly apart with hulk having no way of controlling his trajectory after that.

@darkshadow548 жыл бұрын
Yep. It was way after these events. And Rulk was considerably downgraded since his debut. I mean he even went up against Surfer and Galactus. Yes. You read that right. And there was debate that Thor only 'lost', this fight, because Thor holds back and Rulk got the upper hand on him. So in their second fight, Thor doesn't hold back as much, and lays Rulk out in like half a page.
@amartinez978 жыл бұрын
Galactus 1 shotted Rulk, thats not a feat.
@darkshadow548 жыл бұрын
Rulk drained surfer of all his power and left him shrivelled and a mess. Galactus blasted Rulk after that. And sent him flying. Didn't really one shot him, since he stood right back up after that.

Thanks for the video, but the Red Hulk hammer lifting was idiotic. It has NOTHING to do with gravity. In fact it totally defies gravity. It's a magic hammer with rules of its own, beyond the physical universe. Then there is the whole thing of being able to USE the hammer's magic, which would be dumb. Plus, gravity doesn't work the way they show.

Rob should cover that during his *The Rundown* series. That's about the right level of seriousness that hot mess of a book deserves.
@Dark0neone2 жыл бұрын
no one in the comments (or if they did it's buried) said that the hammer only being affected by gravity still isn't a good enough explanation as it appears that the Red Hulk jumps straight up. the ISS is still very much under the effects of gravity otherwise it would fly away from the earth, as it only has momentum perpendicular to the surface of the earth. it is only effectively weightless because it's traveling only fast enough to stop it from falling, like when a plane goes into free-fall.

@kimjongchrist89438 жыл бұрын
Thanos without an item of power is like the weakest of the strong. He doesn't really stand a chance against anybody at or above Skyfather level
@DocWolph8 жыл бұрын
Atheist Supremacy I don't think there are any actual villains at or above "skyfather" level. Such beings usually don't go out of their way to do harm or acts considered evil. Usually when such a being shows up, the other cosmic and abstract beings join forces and womp their butts and go back to running the universe in a calm and orderly fashion. Thanos how ever has shown he can whup a god, to such a degree that such a being would need to control literal aspects of existence to really be able to beat Thanos. With Thanos, it is usually not going to start as a straight up strength-versus-strength battle. Thanos will use his vast intelligence to beat even the most powerful beings before he has to use brute force, unless that is the best solution to the problem. Just remember if Thanos is coming after you, you are already beaten. If you manage to ambush him, you better be prepared. Being stronger is no guarantee you can beat Thanos. And just to illustrate how "weak" Thanos is, he has put down a furious Incredible HULK one handed, in one blow.

So when the red hulk gets madder he gots hotter, but in the case of the hulk he gets stronger, so does the red hulk have a finite amount of strength?
@isaiahsimp988 жыл бұрын
That random white guy nah fam he can control and absorbs energy to make himself stronger. Example he absorb silver surfer power and board and stuff like that. He can also take only hulks gammer energy tho not on the same level as they increase it.
@HadesHatredEdge8 жыл бұрын
No one knows the limit of Red Hulk. He gets stronger from absorbing radiation. Since he doesn't have access to radiation, he doesn't really get stronger.

Kit Taylor LMD. Life Model Decoy. That's not the real General Ross.General Ross is Red Hulk. He was made into the Red Hulk by Hulk's enemies. The Leader, MODOK, and so on. Same people who made the LMD of General Ross.
