I love my Vespid + Komodo combo, can't quite believe they are as cheap as they are! Wicked video, Subbed! 👌🏻

It’s a great combo, I also LOVE the look of their new Pavo 2x anamorphics.

@@MortyFilms yeeessss I wanna get my hands on a set of those to test asap!
@MortyFilms Жыл бұрын
@@bandwagonbull For sure, me too! I got to test them out at IBC and recorded some test footage. You can see it in my most recent video, I fell in love immediately! I think they kinda look like the Hawk anamorphics, also with the 28mm, everything looks like a Wes Anderson movie 😅

thanks for the video. what kind of adapter did u use for tilta mirage mattebox ? what kind of 95-80mm adaptor?
@MortyFilms Жыл бұрын
There’s a fitting adapter ring that already comes with the Mirage itself.

instantly subbed, great content and visuals. im just in the process of getting lenses for the komodo and the vespid primes look so good i dont think there is any competition. maybe the sirui venus series. unfortunately the pictor zooms have a t2.8 wich turns me off and even a step beyond the sigma ff primes look nice but paying 6x for the rehoused art´s just feels so wrong. any other options you look into? cheers bro
@MortyFilms Жыл бұрын
Well, I know there are some other cheap cinema lenses out there, but I don’t think they come even close when it comes to quality. I think the SIRUI Venus lenses are nor really comparable here, as first you should ask yourself if you want to mainly do anamorphic or spherical work. However, I haven’t really tested out any alternatives to the Vespid Primes, so I’d recommend you do a bit more research. I DO think, that this would be a great set to invest in and what I would do is maybe just get one anamorphic lens as a creative alternative for now. Personally I’d probably take the Vespids over the Venus, but as I said, it all depends on your work :)

@@MortyFilms great points, i have the sirui 50mm venus and it looks amazing but unfortunately its L mount wich cant be adapted to RF... i think the vespids are the way to go or maybe i can get some zeiss cp3 or canon cn-e on the used market wich both look amazing too. Thanks for taking the time to respond, grüße aus Berlin

Did you use a speed booster when you used it for Komodo?

I didn’t, unfortunately I didn’t had one on my hand for these testings.

Für den Preis sind die Vespid-Objektive wirklich gut. Leider kostet das große Set immer noch ein bisschen viel, um es sich mal eben so leisten zu können...
@MortyFilms2 жыл бұрын
Ja, aber es ist auch eine Investition, außerdem kann man das Set ja auch nach und nach erweitern :)

@@MortyFilms Ah, would I be able to copy what you ended up putting in? Or will it vary for everyone?

@@TEN27 You can absolutely copy it. It’s always +0.14mm going from PL to EF and -0.14mm from EF to PL.
