The camera view of the flasher is pretty awesome. Seemed to give me perspective of how much the fish were willing to move and how much James is moving to entice a bite. Very cool

Hey guys! Do you think that the slab rap can be effective with steady mid-fast and fast retrive or it's gonna break out to the left or right?
@jamesholst40007 жыл бұрын
Hi Makai - the Slab Rap is a very light bait. You can fish it in open water but your retrieval speeds is going to be on the slower side.

Show is great as usual. Quick question, what makes you prefer MarCum over Vexilar?
@RenegadeRiderBC7 жыл бұрын
Sponsors
@jamesholst40007 жыл бұрын
Hi Teryn - In-Depth Outdoors is indeed sponsored by MarCum and has been for a long time. Personally I've been fishing MarCum long before In-Depth Outdoors. Both Vexilar and MarCum make a very good mechanical flasher. Anyone that says different isn't being honest with you. That said, I don't fish a mechanical flasher. I stopped using one as soon as MarCum came out with their real-time digital units - LX6, LX7, and LX9. Vexilar doesn't offer a digital unit. I like the digital units over the mechanical flashers for the larger displays and display options available to me. Having a full flasher dial to read and a vertical zoom bar on the side that doesn't compromise resolution is a feature I wouldn't want to fish without. Manual Dynamic Depth allows me to create a custom depth range that uses the entire flasher dial and chart mode, when combined with a vertical zoom window is a powerful tool when the fish are hugging tight to bottom. The LX9 I use also has the ability to display underwater video on one unit. I hook up a camera, select underwater video from the menu system and I have a high quality underwater camera system without having to drag around a second unit. There's just so much more that a digital unit can do that a mechanical flasher can't do I'd have a very hard time going back to mechanical. I hope this answers your question.

Thanks, yes it does
