@@Denise_FayIs the same as a mask?
@texasdavid97645 ай бұрын
@@ambarmattar9496no, it’s a table top panel that is kept about 6-12 inches away from the face. The panel is more powerful but that’s negated by proximity of the lights to skin on the mask. However, panels also illuminate the neck, hair area, or any other body part placed in front of it. Therefore, more panels are more flexible, not necessarily more efficacious, if just talking about the face. The question with panels is how long to use at what distance from the face? The mask simplifies things at expense of flexibility.

Hi Jodlynn, I was wondering if the Itherau panel as effective? Im just wondering why there are these super cheap products on Amazon, and whether its because the light is weaker. I was looking into getting a Hooga, but am tempted by the cheaper panels. Also, for anti ageing benefits, is a 620-30nm better or worse than 660nm? thanks so much
@AgingNaturallywithJodylynn Жыл бұрын
This is such a great question and one that I don't think I can answer. I can tell you that based on their specifications it should be effective. The light is very light which makes me wonder if it would break rather easily. If you have never tried RLT and are on a budge, I do think it is worth a go. You may want to invest in a higher quality panel in the future years. From my understanding 600-650 is RLT and 650-950 is Deep Red-NIR (Near Infrared). Both together are going to be better for skin rejuvenation. However, some people can't use NIR because it can penetrate some heat and people that have melasma that is irritated by heat shouldn't use NIR. Then RLT would be best for them. I hope that helps! This information is taking from the book: The Ultimate Guide to Red Light Therapy.

Hello! You shouldn't need 20 minutes for a panel. Panels can be 6-10 minutes. If you are talking about reducing pain, that would be more time. But it sounds like you mean skin rejuvenation. The JOVS RLT mask, you can multi task. The lights are very targeted so they don't spread out therefore you can view your phone while wearing a mask, you can definitely multitask. But it is pricey. A panel you cannot multitask. You should close your eyes, the lights are just too bright to do anything. I hope that helps.

Thanks for sharing the calculator but the calculator is based off of a distance of 0 inches so how do we calculate based off your recommended distance of 12 inches? The calculator doesn't have the option to change the value of distance..I have a hooga pro300 panel (which is supposed to have an irradiance of 109mW/cm2 at 6”) I use so the distance can vary (compared to a mask directly on your face 0 inches away).. Also can one just drink green tea or it needs to be applied topically to the skin somehow?
@AgingNaturallywithJodylynn Жыл бұрын
Hello! I want to make sure I'm thinking this through correctly, if you put the irradiance of 109, that is what the Hooga is at 6", so that would be the distance, correct? For example, if you know that 6 inches is at 109, then in the calculator you would put 109W, and let's say you want 50 joules, add that in and you have 7 minutes. So 6 inches away for 7.6 minutes would give you about 50 joules. Right? I'm sure drinking green tea is great for health some benefits, but I can't say that it will work the same as Appling it to the face. The serums on the face are going to work differently with the skin cells that ingesting it, I would think. But I'm no expert in that. I hope this helps!

Do you use goggles when using the panel, especially after you've microneedled?
@AgingNaturallywithJodylynn11 ай бұрын
I do not. I just close my eyes which is fine. Just don't look directly into the light for a period of time.

Your before and after photos are misleading because the lighting is different in each photo. Whenever I see misleading photos, I am very suspicious of anything that person is saying.
