Hi David, loss of energy is the first symptom my husband suffers from when we miss a day of red light therapy. He normally does 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening. We discovered this loss of energy because we had to travel and could not take our panel with us. Well, never again will we travel without our red light. We bought from VIELIGHT an intranasal light therapy device. Red light into the nostrils where there are abundant capillaries. Runs on a battery. Fits into the palm of the hand. Not expensive. Problem solved. Highly recommended. All the best, Dina

Hi Dina, my red light schedule is much the same, 10min and 10 min. I am also looking into a travel model, scared to go away without something.

Love your channel, my father was diagnosed with parkinson's about 5 years ago, it took almost 4 years for him to get the right blend of medication to help him, he's on carbidopa Levodopa and amantadine, they seem to work well for him with no side effects, and he has no sleep issues , not really any balance issues anymore, he has regained a good bit of mobility with the combination of pills, but I'm always listening for the next thing, as I love my father very much and would like to keep him for as long as I can! I won't give up! And it seems like the red light therapy is definitely worth getting for parkinson's patients in general, it's definitely something I'm very intrigued by! The effects it has had on you are awesome and it makes me excited for this !

Hi West Coast Armwrestler, glad to hear that your father has a good medication schedule going now, and that you are trying to help him as best you can. My experience with the red light therapy has been very positive so far, and it wasn't until I took a break that I realized how much it was doing. Based on what it has done for me so far I feel it is a good addition. If you decide to go ahead I would be happy to hear the results. Thanks 😃🖐️🙂

Did you buy the red light therapy from Symbyxbiome in Australia? It’s too expensive though and close to $2,000.

No problem Ann, everything just seemed to fit together perfectly. I was surprised how quickly though, the benefit of the red light wore away. I guess that's the same as many of our medications.😀😁😊

No problem Martha, glad you enjoyed the update. It is a lovely spot. More updates in the future. I am positive that we have proven the benefits of red light therapy for Parkinson's, in part that as soon as I stopped temporarily most of the symptoms immediately returned.

For those of us people with Parkinson's, I think our mitochondria are struggling so much that when we take away the extra support that red light therapy provides, we notice it right away. I can't wait to see what further research on this topic discovers. It seems like most medicine just treats the symptoms of PD, but mitochondrial therapies like red light therapy gets much closer to treating the source of our troubles.

I had an integrative medicine doctor at Mayo Clinic suggest that I invest in a product called the news, which helps you focus and meditate, etc. He did not say one word about red light therapy, which I find to be a travesty.

Hi Coffee, I had a similar situation with my current MDS. He had never heard of red light therapy or the Parkinson's gloves. I don't fault him for that though, he has over 800 people on his waiting list. Canada has some huge choke points in our medical system to work through.😀😁😊

Hi Coffee, the red light therapy has become an essential part of my treatment plan, and I am preparing an update in the next little while. I agree, the mitochondria are under heavy attack on a daily basis and supporting them has helped greatly. I do my front in the morning, and my backside in the evening, and I sleep much better. I think there is good light penetration at the base of my skull where my spinal cord meets it. No skull there.

@UCfI0Ie0gEdMdl-VSUeA0SXA I'm truly happy to hear that this treatment is helping your symptoms and your health. I'm very curious to find out what research will reveal about shining red light anywhere on the body versus using a helmet specifically made for neurological concerns. It can certainly be a lot cheaper to buy, for example, a small panel versus a helmet which can easily be 800 US dollars on up. A panel can be used to shine light on the body in general, or on the head in particular. The channel no silver bullet 4 pd has some interesting interviews with red light helmet inventors.

I will be interested to hear your update when you get the portable unit. I'm interested to know how you use it. Do you aim it at your head only?
@LifewithParkinsons
@LifewithParkinsons Жыл бұрын
Hi MPFantasy. I think the idea is to aim at wherever you feel works best for you it doesn't necessarily have to be at your head because your cells travel all over the body. I like to do my backside including the back of my head before going to bed I just seem to sleep better. When I get a portable I will update but it could be a while to raise the funds. Thank you for your comment and for watching and supporting this channel. 🙂🙏🙂

Thank you for this. I am going to buy a red-light panel in a few weeks, sadly not from Rouge because I live in the UK. Is it worth pushing the therapy to its limit to see at what point the law of diminishing returns takes effect or bad things start to happen?
@LifewithParkinsons
@LifewithParkinsons Жыл бұрын
Hi Peter, Rouge can ship to the UK, I will get you the link and you can still indirectly support this channel 😀😁😊 As soon as I have it I will pass it your way, thanks. I am pushing the light as hard as I can and am just staying within the manufacturer guidelines. All I know is that as soon as I stopped I was, "wow, I didn't realize how much it was actually helping." Thanks for the comment and for reaching out.
