Looks like a nice ride & hike (except for the rain part, of course). Over the last year I have added a Honda CB300R and Trail 125 to my small stable of rides. I'm liking them both for their respective uses - the 300 for longer/quicker road rides, and my 125 for putzing around town in Wickenburg and light trail riding. At 69 years old, I use my side-by-side for more challenging off-road exploring but do like having the 125 because it's just so much fun. Now if it would just quit hitting 100+ degrees so early every day I could get out there for even more fun 😎. Glad you are enjoying your new 300 too!

Very enjoyable video, waiting on a LS 300, hopefully soon.

We climbed one side and came down the other. The other side has cool hoodoo formations. On top of the summit there is a summit register jar where you can sign your name. We also always get stuck in a rainstorm on this mountain. Happened twice this year. 😀 Also, look out for native pottery sherds and arrowheads they are all over this mountain and around.

Cool to know that there is a register somewhere up there. I walked back and forth twice on the ridge and didn't find anything, but am content that I crested the highest point somewhere up there. Bummed I missed the hoodoos though!

Perfect ride and hike, rain or shine. Looks like this 300 LS will be a exciting addition to your garage John. Would the seat be comfortable for an Iron Butt 1000? Looks like the seat on the DR 650 which does not look like a comfortable seat. The bike is beautiful. Love the color. Will probably last forever.

I think the seat would be pretty rough past a couple hours. Down the line, if I end up keeping this bike and riding it on longer adventures...I'll probably splurge for another seat concepts seat.

Hi guys ordered mine in grey yesterday..cant wait but got a question. I live in a very hilly region with some roads having 1 in 4 gradients in places. Will the 300 struggle getting up these gradients? I weight under 200lbs and not interested in speed but I am concerned the bike will struggle and not be up to the job. Sadly no test ride was available before purchase so its a leap of faith here!

I have not tried anything incredibly steep yet with a high gradient, but I feel like this bike would handle most climbs well. Certainly if the surface is very loose, it would struggle...but so would anything. The stock tires are also pretty good off-road (much better than my himalayan tires)

@@On2Feet thanks for the response mate. I hope so too. I've never ridden such a low powered bike but I'm hoping it's low weight and punchy engine will be sufficient for my needs which is mainly taking it easy along back roads and the odd easy green lane. Cheers

Recommend trex racing windscreen and expandable kickstand.

the windscreen I have is t-rex...I just haven't put it on yet. Good to know it's recommended!

@@On2Feet Their expandable kickstand makes a difference on the 300l too.

Would this keep up with the Himalayan? As far as top speed ?
@On2Feet Жыл бұрын
As soon as I'm through the break-in period, I plan to test top speed. I think it would be very similar though. I've seen some videos where people get their 300L up over 80 mph...but I suspect 70 (maybe 75) is probably the practical top speed. It will certainly be running at higher revs at those speeds as compared to the Himalayan
