I do love cinema and especially movies from passed decades. The footage is absolutely a dream. When I'm outside for snapshots I carry in my hand my old Olympus E1 (this with the Kodak sensor) because the colours, tones and contrast is so filmic. In my opinion this Red One produce the most beautiful and dreamy images.

Shane F Kinsman, Cinematographer it truly has the best image I’m convinced. I don’t care what anyone says about 8k, vista vision, dragon or whatever. It has the most filmic image, period.

Awesome footage. From the era I love this camera, the digital bolex, and canon 1DC. All have a far nicer cinema image than the clinical precision of today's stuff!

@@DanielTroyer do you think this old red is better than new bm pockets? cuz i dont. I own both. the only thing is that the old red one mx is just heaving. But peoples reaction and the footage is amazing
@DanielTroyer4 жыл бұрын
@@markkidrov5066 Yeah, the old Red is vastly superior. Not on paper, but in reality. The 6k and 4k just don't look like film at all. They have a plastic feel to them, horrible noise pattern, and wouldn't hold up on a feature film shoot. The 6k has really impressive dynamic range, but so what? If there's no emotion in the image than it's a waste. Mind you I've shot professionally with every BM camera out there.
@BaskenmannZwei4 жыл бұрын
@@DanielTroyer Yes unfortunately that's true. I own the BMPCC and Iit was a huge stepup from DSLR, but even the URSA 4.6k can't give me the feeling that it has the "look". But i also think this about the c300 from canon. What do you think about the URSA?
@stefanralew79844 жыл бұрын
@@BaskenmannZwei I own the BMPCC 6k (upgraded from the first BMPCC), and I have an old RED Scarlet MX. The BMPCC 6k is really nice and far better than any DSLR but the old MX sensors still a class of its own and in my opinion far superior to the BMPCC sensor. Especially with the new IPP2 color pipeline (available in DaVinci) it takes the MX cameras to a whole new level! I´m always surprised how nice the graded footage of the MX sensor looks, even compared with Arri. I thought I should upgrade to the more modern and less noisy Dragon or Helium sensor but I decided to keep my Scarlet MX until it breaks apart. I wouldn´t buy a RED One, this thing is far too heavy and bulky for me. My2cents
